I came, I saw, I spewed...high test gasoline that is. I stopped of at the local stop and rob for some petrol, not more than fifteen minutes ago. Thought it would be a good time to try out my new McCuff. I took it out of it's handy little carrying case, gently slid it over the end of the filler nozzle (all of this as per instructions) and firmly held it on the fuel tank opening. I squeezed the handle (not full flow, mind you) and began filling. The familiar click of the pump shutting off never came. Instead, a big gush of 91 Octane blew out from under the McCuff and damn near filled my cat carrier. Well, maybe not that bad, but it ruined my favorite Ping ball cap. I immediately took the McCuff and stuffed it back into it's pouch, then stuffed that into the trash can next to the gas pump. I've been McScrewed out of twenty-three bucks.

ALWAYS remove your pet carrier before filling with gas. Just set down in a conspicuous place so you don't leave it behind.....fill up.......put the pet carrier back in place and drive off.

Here is the problem as I see it. It's 2 and a half inches high, I can see that the nozzle doesn't go insde the fuel tank far enough, so cut the McCuff down an inch, it's only purpose is to hold the rubber cover up so the spout will fill your tank. I was thinking of doing just this to mine today. I will report back on how I cut it back and how it's working, I refuzed to remove the cat carrier when filling my tank. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
