I was driving down the road today when I heard a Bang from the left side elect.side(hopefully it was just a stone).
I just looked at ever thing and i don't see any damage.Fuses OK,Rectifier seems OK ,wiring in tacked.
The only thing i saw as suspect was the Battery was almost out of water.I put it on a smart charger every time after use. I just filled the battery(Yuasa 6v) back up with purified water and put it on the charger. I didn't think it would go though water like that I just filled it up 6 mouths ago ? I dont know how old the battery is, it came with the scoot.

Any Thoughts? Nerd emoticon

Thanks, Brian

Check the connections at the key switch for broken or disconnected connectors. You can get at them well enough to check them through the air intake hole in the frame, but you may need to pull the tank out to do any repairs. (This is assuming your key switch is under the seat.)

Having a good battery is key. If you don't lose your lights after riding for a while it's probably OK, but it wouldn't hurt to get a new one next spring. If you keep the battery on a charger, it's pretty normal in my experience to need to top it up with distilled water every couple of months. By "out" of water you mean at the lower line, not empty, right? If it's the latter, your battery housing is probably cracked or something.

The water was just about gone in one cell. I will check for cracks in the battery and test the on/ of key switch also.

The bike still runs the same and starts no prob. Would it still run if the key/ on/off switch was broken?

Just no lights at all?

We just get ours at "batteries plus" .. don't let them sell you a dry-cell, though. I always pay like $57 ish for a yuasa 6v 11ah wet cell battery.

I just checked the on/off key switch and all the connection are good.
After charging the battery all night it was still calling for a charge. I hope thats my problem and not the dreaded elect. trouble with Rallys.

I put the Yuasa 6v #6N6-3B on a tester and it read replace.

Thanks... Brian

did you add water? Most of the time with wet cell batteries if you just fill them up with distilled water to the marks on the side, they suddenly come back from the dead.

Yes, I added de-mineralized and charged it over night. Tested it today and it read replace .

Yeah, if your battery is toast you won't have any of your lights.

So I disposed of my old battery acid today it was dark brown in the center cell? I also found a small crack in the battery itself. I have a direct replacement on the way.
