Hi All.

I found a '75 Primavera ET3 on SF Craigslist and I'm in love with it so I have a few questions for everyone...

I've read the small frame forums and they seem like they're perfect for me! Although, I wish they were CA freeway legal. I'm planning on using a scooter for everything that doesn't involve transporting my bass and amp around.

Here's the CL ad:
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/mcy/1356779011.html

These are the questions I'm going to ask when I see it this weekend. Keep in mind that I've never worked on one myself but my bf has so these may be "dumb" questions:
who worked on it?
is it a 19/19 carb?
is the spedo accurate?
i'll be riding with a passenger a lot- ever break the spark plug cap when riding 2-up on bumpy roads?
what's the usual mpg?
where to order parts?

Anything else I should ask?

Thanks!!

buy it - good price, looks complete, if you don't like it -- sell it for what you paid for it.

I recently bought one in similar condition (good running condition, new electrical, crappy paint) for a few hundred less. So it's probably a fair asking price. Mine has a 100 Sport engine, with a few mods. My husband and I have no problem getting around, and we live in a hilly area. But we're both pretty small people.

it does not look like an et3, i'm sorry

i might be wrong, but don't think so

the glove side door is wrong size

mine is a 74 et3(proper)

stripes, cdi in glove box, electronic stator

pull the rubber off the fly window and peek inside with a flashlight

if you see points(primavera)

coils(et3)

the true clue is the jug

lets get others to help me with this

Not an ET3. it's a US market '75 prima just like the add says (except for the last line where people list other key words they want to show up in searches).

Still could be a good bike. 2 port cylinder and points ignition are the only down sides vs an ET3.

it probably has a 19/19. it came with one. the speedo is probably not accurate. you will get used to how far off it is when you drive. i always look when i go by those "this is how fast you are going" speed thingies. those things always make me go faster if i cannot see a cop.

I had a chance to buy 2 of those things at my company sale the other day.. for $20 each.

I'm kicking myself for not doing it now. That would be wicked to have at a rally. Everyone would blow by it trying to set the record.

Definitetly should have!

When I was in college one guy came back from the summer break with like 15 cases of road flares. We got a mess of people together, set them up and lit them all up. We diverted traffic from one highway through campus past the dorms and out onto another highway.

We sat on the dorm steps drinking beer and waving to everyone as they creeped by!

thanks! Ya, I live in a pretty hilly area of SF too. my bf and I are kinda small and any other passenger I'd have would only be 285 total weight, tops.
