I would to start on a project bike and, would like to get some suggestions on what I should look for and where I should look: I think it will need to be a common scooter so parts and information are easy to obtain.

The only 'scooter' experience I have right now is limited to my new Fly 150 and my wife's new Buddy 125 [modern scoots].

Thanks

That's great tpring! I think most will suggest a P-series as a starter. I'm certainly glad that's where I delved in. Otherwise, I recommend looking for another relatively common model. Scooters Originali and Motorsport Scooters are excellent sources for parts. Get a Haynes manual, and check out Scooterhelp.com for model info and maintenance advice. If you get a P, Vespamaintenance.com is an EXCELLENT resource since they walk you through a number of maintenance steps.

Post pics of the scoots you are interested in, and the pros here (not me) can help you figure out if it's a good deal!
