Hello

So I recently bought a Piaggio LT 150 and I was wondering a few things.

1) Does someone happen to have the owners manual and what ever other important documents that might be useful?

2) Is there similarity between the LT 150 and the Vespa ET4? Whats the difference between the two?

3) This is the first time I've done anything on a motorized two wheels and I'm looking for any advise? I'm taking a class that will get me my license and I would like to learn how to learn how to work on the bike on my own. Is there any reading material for that?

4) Any thoughts about the LT 150?

thanks!

Aloha and welcome to the forum. I have the LT in BRG. I have the POF of the manual but am clueless on how to send it to you. Gladly send it if you instruct me. Yes i'm that bad. The LT/ET4/LX are all the same engines. LL has a bigger wheel base and is plastic. No under seat storage also. Did you get the brown key and blue key with it? Keep thee brown key separate since that is the one you'll need for the CDI (blinking red light) unit and tore program it. I will say that the LT runs much better and has no quirks" like my LX has.I just replaced the battery this year. Worked for 6 yrs Definitely take the MSF class. I would take the scooter to a parking lot that's empty to practice turns. Also ride on side streets that don't have a lot of traffic until you get the feel of riding it. I find that i get knocked around more on windy days on the LT. It's a little higher than the LX. You got a really nice dependable scooter. Enjoy. Get a good helmet and some gear. Hope this gets you started and keep asking questions. Pics are aalways cool

the LT would be a 2003, that was the only year they were brought over. Great scooters, very popular in europe, a top ten seller in Italy. You can download most of the shop manuals or order them from your vespa/piaggio dealer. Same leader 150 engine as the ET,LX, service is easier in some respects because access is better especially the sparkplug when compared to the ETs. I love mine, handles like a small motorcycle, seems a bit faster then some of the vespas, other people have said that too, dont know if the gearing is different, weight a factor, or maybe I just have a good one. Got 14k on mine now, everything works great with the usual maintenance, still got the original battery in it

also, regarding storage, lots of us LT owners have gotten rid of the emissions system and then the LT-50 bucket will fit in place of the stock LT-150 one, giving you a reasonable amount of under seat storage

If you join the PiaggioLT group on Yahoo!, under "Files" you will find the Parts and Workshop Manuals for the LT150. There is not much activity but searches will turn up some good information.

I would check your fuel lines for cracks... if they have not been replaced, they will most likely need to be. It's a common problem with the LT.

Good luck and welcome! I love my LT and besides the fuel line problem, I haven't had any problems!

Bummer
So, I had it in at the shop, they originally quoted me for $400 to fix it and that the front fork wasn't damaged. Well, turns out it is damaged and the total cost to fix it (just the parts) is $1400. Does anyone know an online parts store that I can price check what they're giving me?

Not US prices, and not necessarily correct any, but this may give you an idea:
