Hello,
Could you please help with this one.
Do you know what kind/type of leathe is used on Vespa LXV(Portofino Green) seat.
And where can I buy or order it online?
I want to make a back rest from this leather aswell.

Thank you for your help in advance,
ruka pravaya

I'm not sure where you are located, but one suggestion is to visit a leather or automotive upholstery shop. They might be able to match the colour/texture of the seat for you.

Normally you should be able to buy that from your locale Vespa store.

Yes, if they order the backrest meant for the topcase.

But if you're doing a custom backrest, or a backrest that doesn't need to be part of a topcase, then Michael is right. A good upholstery shop should help out.

Ruka,

We actually have the brand new brown leather off of a brand new LXV seat. It was purchased by a highly notable celebrity (a "one namer") that would not take the leather due to the animal thing.

It is in our showroom priced at $249.00 however we would hook up an mv'r.

Best,
SDG

I've got one of those LXV seats on my S150 now, and I really like it. It would look better in black on my red bike, but it's still nice in brown. Got it from the dealer for what seemed like a reasonable price at the time.

Thanks for you reply. I am in Moscow, Russia.
The thing is that I was in dozen of these leather shops but with no result...
If I could know the name/mark/type of the leather itself it would make my search much easier.

Thanks!

This almost impossible to find out unless you know someone @ Piaggio who's responsible for that item.

Worst case scenario could be having everything retrimmed in a kind of leather of your choice.

There's also a chance that Piaggio has used different sources for the leather through the past years, and anyone telling you what their leather is marked with could easily have something completely different from your bike's seat.

It's also impossible to tell unless someone pulls their seat apart to look for a mark, if the leather is even marked at all. Personally, I'm not willing to pull my leather seat apart unless I absolutely have to in order to modify or repair it.
