Anyone in the NSM group considering Bellia Italia or Greek Islands Rallies? Or is the idea of being seen on an automatic too unsettling?

As to asking the travel agent to locate one closer to Pisa, I wouldn't burden him with it, as it's not his specialty. But if you can find a rental shifty and want to use it, then you would only pay the "passenger" rate. Al |

Not this year but maybe next year. I've been feeling the call to go back to Italy. One of my group of friends over there has an SS180 too, so he might know how to hook me up with a loaner of some kind. My only hesitation: I've driven over there and they drive CRAZY! Not much more so than they do in Greece, I just understand the road signs better.

If you look at the route maps on the web site, we will not ride on the AutoStrada or similar national roads. Further, no group urban riding. For example, our hotel is near Firenze, not in it. Those who wish can take the rain into the city to tour on foot. I would not wish Firenze traffic on anyone. We spent almost a month on our own scooters in Italy last year, and in the main, did not find the driving stressful.
Thanks for the confidence that this might be popular enough to repeat in 2011. The travel agent is pumped, and is even working on a Dolomiti route as a second option for 2011. We especially enjoyed that segment of our trip last summer. Al |

Dear Aviator,
what are some decent websites to find European rally dates and descriptions? We have scoot.net in the US. I am planning to go to Germany and Italy next summer and would like to know what may be going on in those countries. Thanks for your help. |

Julie and I are planning on the Bellia Italia rally. We'll ride two up so save room for more bikes.
