Hello. My rear brakes do not engage unless I squeeze left lever all the way.
How can I adjust it so it started breaking sooner?
Thank you all.

On the opposite side of the scooter from the exhaust at the rear wheel beneath the engine there is a cable. Undo the locknut at the front of the lever and then turn the outer nut clockwise, until you get the brake feel the way you want it. The wheel should still turn with the brake off. Both 10mm wrench I think.

Remember to tighten down the lock nut when finished.

Maybe your brake pads/shoes are worn out.

I try to match the adjustment of the rear to match the feel of the front. Sitting on the bike, eyes closed, pull both till they just get firm. Adjust the rear in or out so they feel the same at that "firm" point.

There's also an indicator on the arm going into the cases to show when the shoes need to be replaced.

Thank you, All.
Could not get to it last night, but definitely will do it this weekend.
It is LX150 and only has 1,600 miles on it. Do not think pads suddenly worn out, just that nut may be lose.
Thanks again!

Hello YellowScoot
I figured a picture was worth a thousand words. This is what your looking for under the trans-cover on the left side of the scoot.
This should clear it up. Will take you but a few minutes to get it adjusted.

I'm looking to adjust my brake levers, this explains the rear adjustment. Is there a similar one on the front wheel as well that I can adjust as well?

No, the front brake is a hydraulic disc brake. The only way to "adjust" it is by bleeding out the system. Piaggio recommends a brake fluid flush every 2 years, so it's likely that your ET is due.

the gt200 has hydralic brakes, front and back, sounds like they may need to be bled, also check the thicness of your pads.

... and whether the perch to which the brake lever attaches has been loosened from the handlebar.

I had this "tightened" at my last oil change. It worked well for 3 months but now the front brake is now so loose it does nothing again. Does this mean I have a leak in that system? I'd appreciate any information you can arm with me before I go back to the repair shop.

Thanks!

Probably. Could be internal in the master if you're not seeing fluid.
