Stupid newb question, but do people pre-mix the gas and oil in a container before putting it in the tank or do people just add the gas to the tank and then add the oil and let the forces on the liquid when accelerating, braking, turning, do the mixing for you..
(assuming you don't have auto mixing etc)

I fill the tank with gas, measure the appropriate amount of 2-stroke oil, dump it in, start it up and ride.

Some people stand there and shake their tanks - I never bother with that - the stuff is made to mix in gasoline and it will do just fine on its own.

I used to have premix premixed in a jug at home, but it got to be a pain to fill the darn thing up..

I just fill up at the petrol station and add oil accordingly

i add oil first and then add the gas. the force of the gas hitting the tank mixes it up for me.

Actually it's engineered to mix with the gas regardless of whether you shake it up, you put in oil first, gas first, or standing on your head...

but whatever makes people feel better and works for them

No need to manually agitate.

Try it in a more or less clear container some time (a dry empty milk container, for instance). Just our in the oil and a moment later, it's all the same color.

I like the idea of testing the mixing process in a clear container. Nothing like a home made science experiment!
