Can anyone tell me if this might an original Vespa color? There is some red showing through in spots, but it looks like primer.

'62 VNB 125cc. It really does look like a rattle can paint in areas; other places on the bike look pretty good. I'm planning on repainting anyway, but I was curious

The original color paint for that bike is sort of a greyish color. ( not silver like the GS150...but a proper grey ).
There was only 1 color for that model, that year. Post up the Serial #, and i'll show you a big color pic of what it looked like. VNB2T or VNB3T ? |

VNB2M is the motor VIN. What's the frame VIN ? I could assume it's a VNB2T, but i don't want to be wrong, as it's the difference between 2 colors.

OOPS! Typical newbie the bike is not here, I'll have to check. Where do I look? Is it under the tank?

I think that if you look carefully, you can see that parts of the Vespa badge are missing. The right top part of the V, the top of the S, and the bottom of the P all look like they have been knocked off. It is hard to tell because the paint is grey and looks about the same color as the badge.

I'm pretty sure its grey, I'll have to go check the #'s when I get a chance. In the mean time; what would be the proper seat color, handgrips, rubber trim etc.? I really would like to restore her to original condition. Thanks Eric

alright...well, when you get around to posting your VIN prefix, here's your options:
VNB2T : Grigio Celeste Chiaro ( grey light blue ) http://www.vespaclub.com/tecnica/vespa-56-64/1960-125-high.jpg VNB3T : Grigio ( grey ) http://www.vespaclub.com/tecnica/vespa-56-64/1962-125vnb3-high.jpg VNB4T : Grigio Chiaro ( light grey ) odd, since it's darker than just "grey" http://www.vespaclub.com/tecnica/vespa-56-64/1962-125vnb4-high.jpg |

Muchas gracias Eric! The story is the scoot is currently hiding out at a friends place while I figure out the best time and place to break it to wifey that I have acquired yet another project. If I had my way that baby would be sitting in our living room and I would be working on her every night.
