Back in 1965, I bought a new Vespa 150. It was a pale blue. I am trying to determine what model it was. It had a saddle and an optional buddy seat.
I am hoping someone might have pictures.

8" or 10" wheels ?
It really could only be a couple models.. they were phasing out the GL150 ( 10" wheels ) and phasing in the sprint. They were phasing OUT the VBB and phasing in the Super. so, it could be any of those 4 models. ⚠️ Last edited by Rover Eric on UTC; edited 1 time

OK...i'll reply with pics. These were the 150cc models available in 1965. The first 2 are 10" wheels, the second 2 are 8" wheels.
GL150 ? ![]() Or Sprint ![]() Or VBB ![]() or Super ![]() Of those, the VBB and Super came stock with Saddles ... the VBB was actually called "Vespa 150" the super, sprint and GL were all badged with those names. |

I did buy it new, but never considered it to be any year other than '65. |

You know I can remember when a scooter was a scooter, and when a scooter was a Vespa or Lambretta.
I was always amazed, and I still often am, by people that can look at a photo and determine things like "that kick start lever is a little long for that scooter" I don't know when it happened but it looks like I have fallen off the edge and I'm turning into a scooter geek. Last week I actually posted something like "I rebuilt the carb ran a chop and it looked good" Life is good! |

I found a reference on line for a VBB2T available with plain blue paint. Maybe that's the one.

AHA, I think this is the one. That is the color! Mine didn't have a spare, but that's the scooter.

later VBB's were apparently not metallic blue, but just a regular blue.
http://www.vespaclub.com/tecnica/vespa-56-64/1963-150-high.jpg I don't think there was ever a light / pale blue VBB, though. VNB, maybe. Did you have a VNB and maybe stick the GL top end ( 150cc ) on a normally 125cc engine ? |

He sent me a used jug and slug from a GL, which had a higher compression. It did the trick. |
