Hell I don't have space in my garage but I'd make it if that was in San Diego. After I bought it I'd probably sell it to Mr. J or SoCalGuy, but I'd have to think about it first .

I've been watching this one pretty much since it listed, but I'm not sure how much domestic turmoil I'm willing to cause by winning it. Original paint, 1974 Super 150, currently at $828 on Ebay. Auction ends this afternoon.

I was the high bidder at $1,225.00 on that 1974 super 150, but didn't meet reserve so the owner will get to keep it.
My wife will be pleased to know this. Now I may have to go buy some suspension parts for the Stella to console myself. |

Somebody should make an offer ... there's potential under the rattled paint and wrong badges:

The collections tend to slowly grow. I never thought I'd get past 1, but I'm on 3 now. I'm actually self-limiting at this point. I recently had 3 down, and I decided that perhaps I don't need to add any more maintenance to my life!

It's cheap but looks like they taped it up and gave it a 10 dollar paint job... wonder what's under there?

I think I had 4 or 5 at the peak. I always felt sort of guilty since I could only ride one at a time and usually have one that is favored above the others. I now have three and ultimately would like to get down to two - having one spare comes in handy when one needs maintenance.
Simplifying is on my radar for this year. |

My philosophy is two have two: One to ride and one to wrench.
I'd rather go up to three and then sell one than be down to one while I wait for the next project to come along. Now, I just need to get my Better Half on board with this plan. |

i like the idea of a stable with three horses: the workhorse, show horse, and a race horse. theres also no shortage of wrenching with these bikes as experience has shown me.
this is also coming from a guy with 5-6 bikes so... don't mind my musings. |

3 running scoots is my upper limit too. That's the critical point for me where I spend more time on maintaince and safety checks than I do riding. Ends up feeling more like work than a hobby.

in (erm) 20 years of scootering, i've never been able to manage 3 scooters running at one time. that may say more about my wrenching and riding than anything. right now, one _almost_ back on the road. one broken at my last rally and three in the "someday" pile. |

i find it most relaxing when you have scooters.
3 maybe 4 in 95% fully restored mode but only run up the street and never registered. 2 rego'd runners and another primed with a fresh engine build sitting on the stand. That way when you hit a snag or a summer you can just move to the next scooter and not get that one to the happy running stage as well. If you have less than 3 theres potential to actually have them all running. That would be madness |
