I kind of like the P in a box here in San Diego, but not sure $1k for a P in a box is exactly deal of the day. Probably a fair price though.

The one located in SanDiego is the $200 bike. If they get $1K for that, I'll consign mine with them to sell.

I don't get it, the$200 one is on Seattle, not San Diego, right?
200 engines go for $800 plus, it's not crazy at 1000, but not a steal either. |

Just a reminder that he is *asking* for $1k. There are thousands of bikes on CL that are asking for more than they will actually sell for. Some buyers aren't happy unless they can buy something on CL for half of what it's listed for. I'm pretty sure this scoot will sell for less than its listed price.
Most of the scooters in the SD section of CL currently have been listed for months because they aren't priced to sell. I know the guy selling the P in question, and I am pretty sure he is the kind of guy who listens to offers. By the way, I have been rebuilding scoots in SD for about a dozen years and have never had a $200 P200 come across my path. The best I have ever done on a P is $350, and it had been disassembled and left outside for 10 years. It's my current sidecar rig. Oh, and pallets are worth something now that rustic pallet furniture is all the rage.😎 |

Just to add to Quasi-moto's bit there, the market is more expensive here than other parts of the country.

we stopped caring how many bikes we have. we just figured out that 13 of our 17 run. We thought we would keep it limited but after about 10 we just said "f$%& it" we can have any and all of the bikes that we want. Only one is for sale. We just saw the $200 P on seattle craigslist and I thought of this thread.

If I had the readies and could bring it in to Melbourne easily I'd snaffle it too. Need a bike for Wife and Daughter to ride and Wife wants a geared bike. I was leaning towards a twisty for safety etc, but next best is a P with disc brakes! At that price, lovely.

i texted my friend in austin telling her to pick it up, that a 20/20 carb would be a cheap enough fix to the carb issue and that AF rayspeed could do the work, not to mention there likely being a dozen vintage guys on this board that live in Austin on here. |

Craigslist score
Scored these today. They were on craigslist for less than 24 hours and I already had a bit of a bidding war on my hands as someone else was after them before I got there.
Anyway I lucked out and managed to haul all 8 back in one go for my 2+ hour drive home. Turns out the guy i out bid was a buddy of mine in Tampa, doh! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
