I don't think that's a bodge. Maybe an American Bodge, but still worth a look.

I have a 1966 Super that has the white cowl trim... it's original. I should say "had", since I sold it yesterday.

I still have that v90 project if you're looking. It's 100% complete and running. I rebuilt the engine... new piston, rings, hone, bearing, seals, brake, tires, tubes. I did all this before I realized the front brake pivot was cracked. I've been waiting for a good OG paint headset to come up, but haven't seen one yet. I'd ride it as is, but it would be a great looking scoot with a little body work and paint.

Well worth what he's asking I think, depending on what's in the boxes, what's missing and the actual condition of the floor from underneath. This pic gives me some hope that it's mostly surface rust and it looks fairly straight.

C'mon RG, I think you could do it, maybe get the engine done for you but you could handle the rest. And, hey you got a running(?) scoot already so there's no big hurry. If it's close enough, at least go look.

And take $200 with you .
Even my wife said go get it. I emailed the seller, he said mostly surface rust but did say some welding would be needed on the floor. Hes going to send me more pictures. it's one of those things where I probably would have to jump on it but finding time during the week to drive 7 hours up in back dips difficult. Most people throw away two hundred dollars at Foxwoods casino over here? I think this would be a better gamble. th pictures are so blurry. I post some more if I get them.

You'll be the first to know. Weathers looking pretty good for next week. We got a couple of inches of snow again the other day, but it's Spring now so this crap should melt pretty fast now. Next week it's in the 40s and possibly will hit 50. That's t-shirt weather around here.

No dinero for a second scoot, especially when the first one is not finished (still waiting to get painted). And I'm not into hoarding or future project builds, one is enough for me. But, yeah, it is really tempting.

Ah hell, I kinda came off like a fool there.^^^ I also figured someone else could use it. UPDATE - I showed the add to my wife and she said if it is still up for sale in a few days, go grab it. Says, that will give someone else enough time to have a rack at it, if not, get it loaded in the truck. I love this woman, married thirty years now, and never gives me any grief. Hope no one looks a CL until the weekend.

The ad is gone now too. Solid original bike, it was a super deal. I still have a link to the other picture, it looks really straight and complete to me.

this bike is all original but runs like new. I have owned it for 5 years now and I have never had an issue starting it even after winter storage. looks a little rough but imo the petina looks much better than a new paint job. needs a few bulbs and a set of tires but I enjoy it for what it is, a testament to the quality of these classic scooters. 650 is a fair price considering a running engine goes for about that.
Three cheers for the lucky new owner, enjoy!

Transformers or just the glass insulators? I know people like to collect the insulators (I have one in a box somewhere).

People collect... and I don't think I'll ever understand why. I collected baseball books for a while, and I had a decent collection of WW II submarine/U-boat books for a while. And I think we ALL think that whatever we collect is cool while what others collect is weird.

Now? I'm all about minimalism, but still need to talk to my wife about clearing out stuff from our house.

Ha... you're right. Transformers are weird to me. And my scoots are weird to just about everyone in my life.

I have zero collecting tendency too. I used to say I was collecting dollars (that's weird too) in my 20's when everyone was into records and such. For some reason I really like scoots and that didn't start until I was grown. It's definitely boardline crazy though. Sometimes I wonder if it's linked to the collector car bubble that's going on right now.

If I could create a little space in my garage, I would probably collect one more scooter (or maybe an older Japanese bike). But with my business inventory taking up half of the garage, there's barely room for the one scoot.

I think it's a Jet with a 150 motor. But it has floor rails and not a mat. And it has no damper or disc brake. What am I looking at?

The bike is likely just a mix of parts from multiple bikes. Not necessarily bad. One of my funnest bikes was a mix of p parts and a rally headset and solid/fast p200 motor. true rat bike that ran forever. Although this isn't a rat, its likely just been put together with either what they had or what they could find.
