So tempting. It's local, which is insanely rare.

Seems a bit much for it's current condition, no? Looks rattle canned too.

Yeah and they're claiming it's running without an air intake. Scary. People here are pretty out of touch. How much would this go for in the real world?

I'd say... not much. I suspect that it was laid down hard, but has since been repaired.

Look at the engine side cowl fit, dent at tail, dent under tank, missing shroud and shattered head, and crease in the legshield. Doesn't look bad now, but I bet it was at one point. I'd take a risk at parts value. If it's saveable, you got lucky.

I'm going to go look at it and get a closer look anyway since I've never seen one in person. The more I look at the pictures, the more parts I see missing/fucked. Bummer.

Yes, it's wayyy too much. I emailed the guy a week ago or so, never heard anything back. i must've pissed him off with my max offer on something like that.

63' vespa vb125 & 80 p200E Both for $1500
Hi all! This is my first post and wanted to say hello.

My husband brought home these planning on keeping the 200 and selling the 125. He picked up both for $1500. Did we get a good deal? I feel for $750 each we did but I could be wrong. I am considering keeping the 125 for myself. I love the patina on this old girl. My heart skipped a beat when I saw her, but we are beginner (like 2 years) scooter owners. We owned a 50cc automatic but sold it when we moved out here.

These scooters aren't running but both engines turn and aren't seized. The guy we bought them off of restores BMW motorcycles and he isn't into Vespas.

Anyway thanks! Sorry the pictures are so crappy, it's late and dark so I can't take any good pictures.

The ad is gone, but looks like a pretty good deal to me - assuming there's no serious rust, the motors aren't ruined and most everything is there.

On the real: Any package deal offer for two bikes under 1500 total is a deal.
Granted the last time I bit on a deal like that both bikes were running, had keys and title, but hey: somebody do it.

You seem like you're on the fence for these and you shouldn't be. You came to the wrong place, because these Vultures (jk, Vultures are actually quite patient), i mean these Alligators will pounce on deals in a heartbeat.

If you can get those running on less than $100 repairs for each, you got a good deal. A can of carb cleaner, replacement spark plug, ($3) fuel line, and of course fresh gas can make or break a decision. "/Rent/" a compression tester and-or a multimeter from a Pep Boys/O'Riellys. Check the compression, put fresh gas in, and see if they fire up.

Worst case, sell them to Dr.Ona for $2k each, he's always looking for bikes.

Nothing to be nervous about. I knew very little about scooters when I did my first rebuild and I learned almost everything I know right here on this forum. There are lots of great people on here with plenty of knowledge to share. There are no dumb questions so ask anything.

You're well on your way. That P series looks like it's about ready to roll. It might just need some fresh gas and a good carb cleaning to get it to fire up... or not. HA! ...and the other one looks like it will be a fun project.

You've got what looks like two solid frames and two engines that you say aren't seized, that's an excellent start.

Good Luck!

That 63 is going to be slow.. I have one. I love it, but it tops out at 43 or so on a perfect day... ask Macgerk77.. I could've won slowest Vespa at the Mayday rally... but you know what?.. I was the only one riding with 8" tires.

Has original keys, owners manual, tool kit, and the piaggio air pump still wrapped in paper... Not running. Is that a deal of the day?
