A Heads Up for MV readers. I'm going out of town for a couple of weeks but when I return on the 15th I'm going to post the following ad:

1980 Vespa Kitted P125x
This 1980 P125 has been upgraded with a DR 180 kit, Sito Plus exhaust and Del Orto SI 24/24E carburetor. It also has been converted from points to CDI for added reliability and the cruciform was replaced last year. All work done personally by HotRod Al. Body is in excellent condition with no bondo and only two small dings. The paint is four years old.

Available for inspection and pickup in Fresno $2950.

Buttload of miles, but you could make a nice scoot out of that as a starting point, especially for $600 or less.

I know the modern folks get 40k, 50k or more miles out of their 4T CVT Fuel Injected scoots, but what's the highest people have seen out of an old 2T scoot?

We don't know... the speedos never work.

Our speedo is pushing 25,000 m... there was thread on here recently about high mileage scoots ... the topper was around 90,000+ !

i wouldnt want it but its cool none the less...

I've seen 29k on a vintage. Depends on whether you have seasons where you live. Modern models down south have had upwards of 70k, but a model in NYC will gain a thousand miles over a couple years in some instances.
