1979 Vespa P125X - $750 (Arlington MA)
Has a 177ccm DR kit and a clean MA title. Needs electrical work. I can present it with a running engine if needed. Thinking about starting this project, but also wondering if anyone else wants to own one. Will post pictures and can take specific pics if requested. This was may daily driver up until about 2 years ago. http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/mcy/5085577948.html No pics..... |

A Heads Up for MV readers. I'm going out of town for a couple of weeks but when I return on the 15th I'm going to post the following ad:
1980 Vespa Kitted P125x This 1980 P125 has been upgraded with a DR 180 kit, Sito Plus exhaust and Del Orto SI 24/24E carburetor. It also has been converted from points to CDI for added reliability and the cruciform was replaced last year. All work done personally by HotRod Al. Body is in excellent condition with no bondo and only two small dings. The paint is four years old. Available for inspection and pickup in Fresno $2950. If someone is willing to wait a couple of weeks, this will be a good buy for someone. ![]() |

If you like Stella....Cincinnati - $600!!!!
Stella, 2003 model bought new in 2004. 150cc two-stroke, manual shift, 21,625 miles. Garage kept, carefully maintained with an emphasis more on mechanics than cosmetics. Slightly modified. Cosmetic damage on right side. Included: owner's booklet; Haynes Vespa shop manual; Scooterworks catalog #5 (Vespa) with assembly drawings and technical information; some consumable parts and two-stroke oil; all replacement cables bought new with the bike and never used; toolkit; specialized headset tool; racks seen in pictures. Cash only, $600.00 Notes: 1.) The state of Ohio categorizes this bike as a motorcycle; and 2.) the Stella uses Vespa PX-150 part numbers. ![]() http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/mcy/5097303984.html |

Buttload of miles, but you could make a nice scoot out of that as a starting point, especially for $600 or less.
I know the modern folks get 40k, 50k or more miles out of their 4T CVT Fuel Injected scoots, but what's the highest people have seen out of an old 2T scoot? |
