I've broken more Polini kits than DR's... they are a GREAT base for crazy porting/tuning & cheap enough to not have to care when they are toast.... & I'm a long-term Polini fan!

sorry, NOT a Malossi fan... too slow! I only use their sheet of foam-filter to make filters from, o/w prefer to stick to Polini.

I guessing not worth it at $400? I'm still new but learning to spot red flags...

I like how it shows both shiny and rusty at the same time.

Yeah, bodgespotting is the place for that... I doubt you could find $400 worth of parts that you could take off of it.

depending on the amount of rust on the floor and side panels

Seat £50, Rear Rack £50, side panels £70 front mud guard £30 floor pan if solid £150 Mod tat £20 - £70 depending on gullibility of the Mod...

Then I suppose its all relative. In the states scooters are a lot cheaper than here. A solid frame was being offered for $800 in the UK on ebay. It wasn't the only one.

The two main things I personally don't like about the scoot (from the pictures) is what could be a frame crack and that the scoot frame appears to be twisted.

It's all relative... I pay $3/bottle to have IrnBru shipped to my house. A bag of Jelly Babies... $6.

Scoots probably worth about four and a half grand so you'll be paying fifteen grand for a sidecar with a cooler in it. Dreamin'.

Yeah it's a bargain. You'd only have to sell 85 million icecreams to get your money back.

I guess he's selling a 'ready to go' business, not just a Vespa. Great setup if you have the climate. Would making a killing in central London during the warmer months.

dude, i have a sidecar (off of frame too). i could make a killing with something like that down here!!!!! 20000 tourists a day here... warm weather all year!
i was gonna sell the sidecar rig as is but i could add another 10 grand to the price if i added an ice cream car... or sell ice cream all day!
oh the possibilities are endless...

Not sure if it's a DoD, but here it is....

1965 Vespa 150 with p200 cc engine...AWESOME! - $2000 (Portsmouth, RI)

http://providence.craigslist.org/mcy/5457522306.html

External inline image provided by member with no explanatory text

This is an awesome 1965 Vespa 150. I currently have it registered in RI. The scooter was customized with a p200 Vespa engine. You really feel the 200cc's as it flies down the road. Has some dents and dings and that is why I am only Asking 2000 or best offer. I had the Vespa fully tuned up and gone through at the end of the summer. Had the carb replaced as well. The scooter starts with the first or second kick. Very fun scooter to ride around town. Only selling because we are moving and new house has no garage. Let me know if you have any questions:)

There was a company out of Seattle years ago that pushed some bodged vbb bikes with this exact color scheme. My old crew, picked one of those bajaj models up for 200 and the got the story on the shady dealership from an owner earlier down the pipe.

I remember those clowns.

But this scoot's not a bodge. Usually bodges are vbb or super. This is an original Allstate. It still has the suicide front shock setup.

Looks like it's gone though.

the guy sent me a couple pics last night. seemed like an idiot. emailed me saying it was still available at 11, instantly messaged back saying i was interested and gave my number, he texted me about an hour later saying it sold 'that day'. he also seemed to forget he was talking to me mid text message and started talking about another bike, or asking again what i was messaging him for.

Sorry about your experience with a Craigslist Butthead..... they are neither few nor far between on CL.... but as mush as I detest it, I found my scooter on CL. Of course, the seller was a really easy guy to work with, and although I never saw it until it arrived on the truck from Buffalo, it was EXACTLY as described.

I'll keep on posting these as I find them, but of course.... I know none of these guys.

There's one in every bunch.... I have 5 dogs (my wife runs a dachshund rescue), and they're all nice personable older ladies, except for one, who will not hesitate to poop next to another dog's head or step on a sleeping dog.

I found my scooter on Craigslist, as well, and have done a number of good deals through it. I think it's mostly a US Or Canadian thing. I've looked at it for other countries and don't see much of anything.
