oh yeah totally. its been said that the t5 engine was the best engineered two stroke vespa engine. and that a stock t5 (125cc) will smoke a p200.
if i had one id cut it down and stick a lammy fork in it, and a GP headset on it, which is why i dont own one. |

T5 looks grow on you If the T5 engine is so awesome then just put it in an older prettier frame and crush that ugly T5 frame in a crusher. oh wait, is riding an ugly T5 the hipster equivalent of wearing an ironic 80s t-shirt? After laughing at the lameness of old A-Team episodes you accidentally find yourself ironically enjoying them? |

I acquired this Piaggio & Co. Vespa from a house remodel we did. The only thing we did was get it started. I can't afford to do the work that it needs and it's just wasting away on my back porch. If your interested let me know. I'm firm on the price. Thanks for checking out the ad. do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers ![]() |

Different, but TWO scooters & currently at only £300. Can you get 'em going? Wanna take a chance?

I wish I lived in Seattle, that's an amazing deal. Free. The frame alone is probably worth a few hundred, not to mention the engine, even if it's seized.

deal of the millennium ;)
Geez Morrie, that's 2 in 2 days for you. If you had a big garage I think you'd have a P200 and a Sprint in it, both semi-dead and you'd only be $200 poorer, but the unusual retro rack is maybe worth that. Or maybe that's a Super, I can't tell for sure if it's on 8s or 10s. Looks a lot like Blank's Super.
![]() If one of you is in Portland chasing that Sprint, be sure to check out this unusual "1960s Vespa, restored - $5000". I believe it is SO rare that it may be worth it and I'm putting ALL the pics up because somebody's sure to snap this up & the ad will be gone http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/mcy/5563183823.html Quote: I had this imported last year but never really rode it so it's not running right now. Probably just needs the carb cleaned out, I'm told. The engine was fully restored but we left the paint alone because it's such a lovely patina! Lost the title, can provide a bill of sale. Gets lots of looks wherever it goes! No low ballers, I know what I have! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I am sorely tempted. Anybody know what carb these things have? It's oddly appealing to me and if it could actually putt down the street & stop with me on it, I'd be a bidder at maybe $500. But he knows what he's got and I don't, so maybe that's low for these. ps: check out the background, maybe you can scoop it up for $3.00 |
