Whatever that thing is, I wanna see the 300cc engine it supposedly has in it.

I confess, at first I didn't notice all that stuff in the tiny CL pics and for a sec was all 'WTF?". Then - hmmm, no kickstarter... or foot brake... oh, wait -GIANT SUGAR JAR!

Not necessarily a deal, but handlebar Vespas don't pop up around here very often. "aftermarket lighting" must mean the flashlight mounted on the handlebars? Lol

Selling my 1956 Vespa . Has a clear title. Found at a retirement sale couple years ago. Vespa mechanic in Wichita ,cleaned the carburetor and it,s alive . Tiled and running. Uses aftermarket lighting. Tires are ok and has been driven a little ,has three sped shifter on handlebars control and the number on the frame shows it to be a 150. Had been stored inside all those years at the farm in cope land . Fun ,cool, vintage and for sale. Call to come see,In Pratt Ks.

Looks pretty good. Running is great and having a title is rare. People say you can get a title on an antique vehicle with just a bill of sale but it's not that easy. It's about 90 minutes away from me but I have too many projects. Oh well.

More info. Old guy, bought it a couple of years ago in an estate sale. Rides it around town with his make shift head and tail lights. Speedo is broken and nothing on the handle bar switches works. Seats are "in good shape" Lol

I vote yes, DOD qualified. Don't overlook those custom seatcovers & the hubcap on the original looking spare tire. And is that old looking SS leggy trim from a GS150?

I'm voting yay for this too. Anywhere else and this would be snapped up at a higher price.

But seriously, WTF are those seat covers? I feel like someone has pillaged a 1970's pool room.

I've been doing some reading and according to this article most of these were imported and sold as Allstates.

Is there anyway to tell from the photos if this is an Allstate or "the highly sought after Vespa U model"?

Ha, got your edit in just in time there. The bracket could be almost anything in the USA, but could be a Euro tax disk holder just for fun.

You're right and it would have an Allstate emblem where this one says Vespa and I think a bigger Sears Roebuck ID plate where this one looks to have 'Made in Genoa' etc below the seat.

And I guess I could google, but does anybody know is this came stock w/ the split Stainless leggy trim (stock for GS150) instead of crimped one piece aluminum? Or maybe Farmer Brown plunked down another twenty bucks and got the DeLuxe stuff from the dealer when he bought it new. Or I got tricked and it's cheap chrome repop. If not, I like it and the bike too. Love the paint. I wish it was local, I just might cave.

I hope somebody here gets it so it doesn't just go away.

Pile of GL and p200 parts for 175. The GL front ends worth that. If I were closer, I'd snag it.

Vintage Vespa - $1350 (North Haven)

For sale is a stalled Bajaj / Piaggio Vespa project. The body is a 1980 Bajaj 150. Engine was rebuilt a few years ago with all new seals, gaskets, clutch, hardware, electronic ignition and IIRC it's a DR160 topend. Not an Asian import.

That's a genuine GL headset. New exhaust. New cables. New bearings in the front end, chrome rims and new tires. The engine sparks, but does not run yet. Paint is rattle can. You just need to finish wiring, adjust and ride. Sold with CT Bill of Sale. $1350 OBO

Plan A: Fix up Super as valuable survivor good runner original paint 8" rat & flip to get the 1400 back. Keep the Lammy because I need a Lammy and I love the paint job.

Plan B: Plan A, but keep 'em both and if he has the mate to that hubcap in the background, I'll pay extra for those.

These are for Slashy because he really needs to get his hands scooter dirty soon. Only 4 Vespa hits on his local CL, but for $200, here's a cheap Piaggio 2 stroke lesson or two and a great little bike fixed up.



Here's the only shifty listed, a very nice looking P and the $2500 asked is probably less than his bodge and would be a 'control' he could continue to ride for more enduring enjoyment.

Those Vespa mopeds are collectable goslash. Could be fun for really cheap.

The "patina" alone is worth at least $5.00.
