I've been looking to get into a reasonably priced scoot and will definitely stay away from the vietnamese junk.

Here's a 1963 GS160 mk2 for $2500. The ad says it's not starting but probably needs a simple carb adjustment. Could be a deal if it's a minor issue.

_________

You emailed once before but I didn't pay attentiion, do not contact me again about it, I can ask what ever I want for it. Good luck, Dude..

Most people would not pay more than $2,500 for one in great shape - that would be one that has been restored including new paint and a new/rebuilt engine or totally OG. That being said I am not trying to buy the scoot, just a bit of insight...

I agree that it is way overpriced. Also of concern (to me anyway) is that it sounds like it has a new LML engine in it, not the original Piaggio engine. The seller is calling it a P150X but this can't be accurate since Piaggio stopped production of that model in 1981. Maybe it is a PX150E, but that would mean it was imported from Europe sometime later since this model was never imported to NA. It could also be a P125 or P200 with an LML 150 in it, but then the seller should say so. The body is also beat...too many half-assed modifications (non-OG paint, steel plate floorboards, spray-painted rims, and what is up with the non-original headset? Or is the square headlight because it is an imported model?)

My advice is to resist the temptation to just get a scooter (I know the feeling) and wait for the right one to come around.

Those are LML electronics on the back of that motor and the square headsets are known to be on Vespa P-series from the SE Asia. I would avoid at that price.

Anyone looking for an all original 1965 Gran Lusso? Here you go. $2,000 OBO. The color description lines up since the GL only came in Ivory/cream color. The seller didn't indicate the model so I asked and was emailed GL. I believe the seller has the year wrong. It is more likely a 1965 since that was the last year of production of this particular model. If it is what he says, this could be a steal. An OG bike that is not so common at a great price.

I've asked for some photos. Should have them tomorrow.
