Wonder how much of it is there?
![]() A fork column with fender. Maybe a cowl? Cylinder shroud.
![]() Gross old tires. Treacherous whitewalls, rusty front rack, shock. two hubs. Weird pipe.
![]() Half-finished welds left to rust. Seat with original upholstery.
![]() Hard to tell with that engine. It has some modified air filter. Oversized carb? LOTS of dust. The stator wire is all taped up. Can't tell if it's Fmsa or Ducati.

If that were closer, it'd be a no-brainer for me now that I live in the land where regulations are things we mostly just read about.

$850 sure seems like a lot for all the bits needed to swap a hydro disc brake into a P series.

I'd be all over that Stella for 850, for all the reasons Greasy listed off, but also because I love me some Stella motor for tuned builds,

That thing would just sit forever.
I almost bought some old rare scooter off CL (I think it was a Peugeot), and Barry Gwin talked me out of it. You basically have to fabricate the parts for those. |

if I had the cash to splash that would be in the back of my truck and headed back to a undisclosed location points north. oh, and I'd drop off a bunch of parts to John while I was down there. |

yeah you could go several ways with that one. bang out the dents, local paint / rust repair and rock it. or full on restore as it's all there. I just have a feeling that it can be had for what is a pretty good price, given what Rally 200's are going for.

I can see why people are buying them and shipping back to Europe.
Ran across this one in Italy. Around $5600 in this condition. https://www.autobelle.it/en/a/For_sale_Piaggio_Vespa_200_Rally_prima_serie_da_restaurare_315201.xhtml ![]() |

prices in the UK and Europe are just nuts, they buy classic motorcycles by the containerful over here and ship them to the UK. read a great article in my Classic Bike magazine from the UK about how it all works. it's a huge industry.

This one was in England. It sold, so there's no price. But it has an SF Scooter Centre plate frame. And they just removed half the American parts and covered the holes in tape.

As if it wasn't already hard enough to find good projects at decent prices, now we have to deal with those sneaky Europeans repatriating their bikes back like they were made in Italy or something! ![]() |

He met a lovely lady, settled down and started a motorcycle parts and service shop mainly dealing in Harley stuff. He would stay in contact with all his old trucker buddies and give them a kick back on any old Harleys for sale around the US. He then would contract out a few trucks to buy and pick them up. By the end of the summer, he would have several containers full of bikes - Flatheads, Knuckles, Pans and the occasional Shovelhead. He then would sell all of them and ship out to England and Germany. I made the wise ass remark one time in his shop that if I wanted a classic Harley, I would need to go over seas to buy as he was sending them all over there. I was banned from his place after that. |

VW buses are often bought in the US and shipped to the UK. A rusty bucket here is an easy save in the UK. Those crazy redcoats. They could weld a whole new spitfire squadron around a bag full of rusty rudder pedals and defeat the Luftwaffe all over again.
