Otherwise, I can't tell from the pictures whether or not it's a 200 or 125. Might be good to ask the seller if it says on the title or if he could check the frame number. |

Now at $850, still sweet deal if it has a 200 motor but I didn't see "P200E / P125X" in the listing, what am I missing?
And what's going on here? I've seen newer tanks w/ a gas gauge sender, but only behind the gas filler cap. ![]() |

Less than $1k, can deal with a 125cc and a 6 hour drive. Guessing will go for $1600. In that case, no dice.

I guess it's a Pinasco aluminum barrel, and a Ducati flywheel that has been lightened, but on a Femsa case.
The carb is the Del'Orto 24/24, but modified at the intake. Also had a Simonini pipe, never used. Geeklion took the engine. I got the body parts. It's amazing that person had the engine built 30 years ago and never used. There were new tires with a 1991 manufacture date in there.

I wish those things weren't always southeast of Atlanta. I'm going to Chattanooga for the Dropkick Murphys show in a couple weeks. If it were closer, I could just swing by on my way.

This is not vintage! (though 2007 is starting to be vintage too!)
But $1200 for a nice looking modern vespa. I've never ridden one of these. Do they have anything like the feel of the two stroke ones? https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/mcy/d/san-francisco-2007-vespa-lx-midnight/7447883386.html ![]() |

That 150 Leader engine is bulletproof with proper maintenance… And of course the look of the vintage ones. They're so simple and beautiful. None of that on the new ones. But they do seem well designed. With cars, too, I always get ones with manual transmission, but not many of those left. Thankfully VW still makes a manual GTI. |

I remember years back finding out there was a Vespa dealership close to me in Vermont. I hadn't given Vespa scooters a thought in decades. I quickly found their website and for some reason expected to see photos of rows of p series bikes. What a let down. I'm sure they are nice bikes but I just have no interest in them. I still drive standard for my daily driver. Ironically, my 73 VW bus is an automatic, but it almost doesn't count. It would be like driving an automatic Allstate.

This is also probably salvageable, but looks like it has an inch of bondo to make it look vintage. But a complete engine for $1000 might be ok.
