Ok, as someone who has a 90 year old house and an air compressor I can tell you you really don't need a heavy duty one....a pancake one will work great. Snap-ons are great....try a pawn shop, good deals on them there.

Can't figure this out as the price is too low for how good it looks. Some sort of scam? Pix are of another bike? Or does the seller even have an actual bike for sale? |

Hoo boy, this is just as I thought. Straight up scam:
=========================================== I'm glad you are still interested. No problem, i'll explain the Co-Op concept, their website is (www.redacted-consignment.com). They are a chain of ebay drop off stores and they offer their services for craigslist users too. I left the item in their possession when i left and intended to sell it when i got back but the wedding costs too much and i need to sell it now to help my daughter get married. They will handle the shipping and the payment. If you want to purchase this, you must register on their website, they send you an invoice with the transaction details and payment instructions and you send the payment to one of their agents. They receive the payment and start the shipping process. You receive the item and you have 10 days to inspect it and see if it's exactly as described. If you decide to keep it, you let them know and they will transfer the payment to me, if you decide to return it, they will give you a full refund back and return the item on my cost. So you can be sure the item is exactly as described because i wouldn't sell something that i know it will be returned and loose extra money. The shipping cost is already included in the price listed on craigslist so you don't have to worry about that. The process is very simple, it probably looks a little complicated from what i explained but it's not and for a better understanding of how their service works you can check out their "Selling on eBay and Craigslist" page. I would advise you to read the Selling on eBay and Craigslist page before you register so you can be sure you understand how the process works. Let me know if you are still interested and if you have questions please ask, no problem. Also, if you don't want to register on their website for any reason, you can send me your full name and shipping address and i will forward it to them, but it's better if you register yourself. Thank you Michele PS: I am sorry for the long email but i couldn't explain the process in less words. =========================================== http://tinyurl.com/Steaming-wet-field-nugget |

Pile o' parts
Washington state
Vintage Vespa - $300 (Enumclaw/Auburn) Date: 2010-10-01, 6:51PM PDT Reply to: sale-2eyza-1984418736@craigslist.org Late 50's or early 60's Vespa scooter parts. The rusty looking frame/body is actually very solid with just a couple spots of rust through. The red frame has an Allstate tag on it.It is junk but has a few salvageable parts.I think there may be enough peices to assemble one bike.3 gas tanks,2 front forks and fenders,3 or 4 seats ,one license plate holder, one complete engine[stuck],probably enough parts for at least one more complete engine and two large boxes of miscellaneous who know's what parts.Obviously these don't run but a great opportunity for some one restoring one .No paperwork, the price is firm. Please respond with a contact phone number and only if you are serious. Thanks ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The bike is in absolutely great shape. I am having trouble getting it started. The bike actually was tuned up in November of 09 which is the good news. At least it hasn't been sitting for 5 years.
First of all, my skills mechanically are below average, but I have narrowed the problem down to the fact that gas isn't getting to the engine. If I put a capful of gas in the Carb, the bike will run, but the gas is not getting there on it's own. I am embarrassed to say that I don't know how to clean the carb, or exactly what part needs cleaning. If someone could point me in the right direction on how to tackle this on my own, that would be great. Otherwise, I will seek a professional and pay the price. I am pretty close, and have made some progress. |
