a hopped up small block P motor with a fresh rebuild that's got all the juicy bits you'd want anyway for 15. I that think pens out to a deal.

There is a small frame on there I could be interested in. Not sure I want to pay $100 just to sign up. Would be different if money went towards a purchase.

If you are going to bid online only, there is a $100 option now that wasn't there a month or so ago.

Wow. These look like they've been in storage since not long after they were new.

Auctions are tricky things - sometimes you bid based on a picture and very little info. The trick is being able to walk away, just like when you go look at a scoot that looks good in the add, but full of bad when you get there. But paying to bid? I guess they are trying to filter out the wishers from the buyers. Still don't like it.

Red allstate is repaint, you can see it on the leg shield trim.

And was repainted assembled, to boot. mudguard and centerstand bolts are painted over.

I looked at blue unit with windscreen and it looked solid underneath and in good physical shape from a cursory that looks interesting inspection. If it went cheap enough I'd buy it and I really don't want another scooter or motorcycle at this time.

Look at white trim on cowls also.

If someone ends up with one of these and needs to store for a week or two let me know I could pick it up Monday or Tuesday after auction.

None of them are going cheap or remotely affordable. Mecum is the haven for old guys with deep pockets and tons of boredom.

Unfortunate for those of us who would actually want one of them.

That's how the Copart auctions are. You gotta pay to play. Buy the time you win a $300 vehicle (car/truck/moto/scooter), you could have about another $400+ in hidden auction fees. And I'm not exaggerating on that figure. That's how auction houses make their $,$$$,$$$.

So let's take a poll here on the forum of how soon a new member will show up asking how to start a scooter that they just bought at a Mecum auction.

That's funny didn't notice that, in this part of the country it's probably all he could find. It was just going to sit in a building anyways.

The only thing it's missing is a declaration that it was "lovingly restored to factory specifications. No detail ignored!"

Beat me to sharing that. I gotta say it is pretty rough... but given the scarcity of et3s in the US I reckon its probably not an absurd price.

It runs and rides supposedly, but so did mine until I discovered the engine had been flogged to death and the cases were cracked. And mine wasn't visibly beat to hell like this one - I'd be nervous how much of this one is usable

i say deal on that et3 - they are hard to come by! it looks like it can be brought back.

Are there rust holes in floorboard? I can't quite tell on my phone.
