Modern Vespa

i was going to pick the bike up and decided at the last minute it is not a project for me right now

with the 50 it would top out at 30mph and to put a kit and 4 speed would be alot of money

not in the mood for either

i gave the buy to a buddy, he said if i change my mind he will sell it to me later

(i am really angry about what happened to littleblues bike at cnp this weekend)

I would have redid this one top to bottom over a few years.

2005 PX150 for $2500

This could be a really good deal if you are in the market. I have seen these priced at $3500 to $4500. This is a Vespa for Stella money.

I emailed about the $400 '64 vbb, my brother is in tupelo so maybe he could look at it or stash it for me...

So did anybody here get the $400 VBB in Tupelo MS? We didn't hear back and the ad is gone so somebody must have jumped on it.

Ok, thanks for the info. Usually the scams are easy to spot because they will spread the same ad all over the net and it is easy to find. I removed the link.

the '66 is not a primavera. it is a nuova or a smallstate. it is the preprimavera. also, it is prettier than the primavera.

You are right of course. But the seller could have the year incorrect - that happens often. He also could have the model incorrect as you suggest. Either way, it is surely worth a phone call for someone in the area.

there are shitloads of that model and year in the US because sears imported them. and, the allstate model had the '66 US spec Mickey Mouse taillight. the sexiest taillight ever put on a vespa.

i lust after the '66 US spec SS180. that taillight is just the topping on the cake. that is my dream bike.

I've seen that bike up close and personal. Lots of rust... will need to be totally stripped, possibly (read: almost certainly) welded, etc....
