P125X in NC - $600
1979 Vintage Vespa P125X. Still original (99% complete) condition. This means it has not been repainted or altered in any way. Motor was started two years ago, but has not been started since. The speedometer shows 666 miles, but who knows if this is correct. The body is dent free with minor surface rust. We are selling this scooter AS IS with no papers or warranty. The right person could make this unit into a show piece.

Prima Basket case, anyone?
Trying to sell a 1976 Vespa Primavera 125 that was taken apart for a full rebuild. Wife got pregnant, and couldn't ride it, so it languished. Kids are apparently pretty darn expensive too, so it didn't get any more attention. Pretty much all the parts are there, some need replacing, some need some service. The engine a VMA2 was rebuilt with new bearings, and a clutch pack. Ordered new control cables. New carburetor. Will probably need a new dynamo, tires, paint, and bearings for the front wheel.

JoeP833,
I appreciate your efforts and I know that there aren't really posting guidelines for this thread, but I would like to make a suggestion. Don't copy a craigslist ad here, or at least post a link to the ad. That Primavera ad is over a month old and you left off the price ($600). The other ad has a phone number in it (don't know if this one is from craigslist). The beauty of craigslist is that the user can edit or delete the ad when the item is sold. By reposting all of the ad, you are potentially putting the ad out there after the owner has sold the scooter. These are just my thoughts, take it or leave it. If these are your ads, more power to ya. |

If the ad is posted here without a phone number or direct e-mail then I don't see an issue as the CL e-mail will "die" after the ad expires or is pulled, and that way the seller won't endure any calls long after the bike is sold.

How about this one, the seller promises "If you're a man women will chase you down and attempt naughty things with you every time you ride by. If you're a women men will buy you drinks and try to beat up your husband. If you're something in between you may have men and women chasing you with their husbands/wives. I'd keep it but my girlfriend is suspicious every time I ride. "

18 Cushman Scooters - 22 motors... tons of parts and other random related stuff. $25k OBO
http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/mcy/1996322415.html Not sure where to start - and I'm pretty sure his asking price is a bit high. Regardless, I'm sure there's some room for negotiating. Hard to imagine how/why someone would amass such an enormous Cushman collection... meanwhile NONE of the scoots appear to be fully assembled/restored/worked on. Strange, but pretty damn cool. Text of his ad: Quote: Cushman Motorcycle Collection...Restoration Dream.. Ever wonder about the remaining treasures in this world? A very interesting and lucrative opportunity knocks at your door. Will you answer? Up for sale is an extensive collection of Cushman Motor scooters ranging from the mid 40's to mid 60's. In total, there are the makings of 18 motorcycles....and there are 26 motors. The inventory goes as follows....chronologically: 1- 30's series frame / forks / fender 5- 50's / 60's series step thru frames...one 50's and one 60's series body 1- Sears Allstate frame & body 1-Highlander frame / body 2-55 thru 57 Iron Eagle frames 1-60 thru 65 Super Eagle Frame / body 6-60 thru 65 Iron Eagle Frames 1-60 thru 61 Trailster two side car frames / one body ( the body is in poor shape) and a few cushman airborne parts...barrel body 18 Bikes total Not to mention the 26 Cushman Husky Motors....various different types / bores / configurations fitting all the different models. Some have the heads taken off...but they are packed away in boxes. There are tons of flywheels / magnetos pullies / clutch components too. There are also transmissions...but just a half dozen or so. There are boxes and boxes of parts that go with the bikes....scripts, headlights, magnetos, trim pieces, brake components, hubs, fenders, seat pans and other accessories just to name a few. There are an assortment of forks, handlebars and seats for various models. It's an overwhelming amount of stuff, but for the right person it's a gold mine. To see additional pictures check out my flickr page. http://www.flickr.com/photos/14477776@N03/ I will give priority to individuals looking to buy the whole lot. Cherry Pickers may be entertained, but will be penalized. Asking $25,000 for the lot....or best offer. Reasonable offers will be considered. If you are knowledgeable about these bikes, you'll know that this kind of deal doesn't come along too often. You could be the proud new owner of the largest cushman nest egg on the west coast! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Allstates from the the late 1960s my earhole.
Instead of just regurgitating shit onto this thread how about everyone actually thinks about what it is that's being sold. And anyone that puts an ad up for a P-series bike and follows with anything that says "could be a show piece..." Well, that person should just stick to driving a Ruckus.

Vespa GS 160 search
Hello Fellows,
I am trying to purchase a Vespa GS 160 mark 2. I live in Southern Spain where the GS is pretty rare so I will be buying on the strength of photographs, feedback & most importantly, advice from the MV not-so-modern team. My very shortlist of scooters so far is the following: 1964 GS 160 non-battery model in original unrestored condition with 4100 miles & it is located in Oakland California. http://vespa4sale.blogspot.com/2010/07/1964-vespa-gs-160all-original.html The chaps name is Ed Killeen. 1963 GS 160 non-battery model in original unrestored condition priced at $6500 & it is located in Philadelphia www.vespaholic.com & scroll down the page. The chap is called Tony. The only problem I have is that none of the above sellers have replied to my mails. Does anyone know them? Is it a scam? If anyone knows of any for sale please let me know & I appreciate the valuable advice & guidance that I have read on the forum. Kind regards, Joe joesneddon24@hotmail.com |

If we are negotiating here, there is an allstate I would go for first on scoot.net right now. Not in love with the chrome but still pretty nice... You could powder coat those parts pretty easily... Would he go for $2,....
http://scoot.net/classifieds/forsale.html?id=24477 1959 Vespa Allstate Description This Allstate is in excellent condition, both cosmetically and mechanically. I have gone through this scooter and made sure everything works on it as it should. It is in mostly originalcondition. As you can see, there are no dents or major imperfections on the body. This scooter has a few added chrome parts, including the wheels, legshield trim, and the rear package tray. The original front fork has been upgraded to the far superior Vespa fork, which has the dampener. This has the early "split headset" handlebars, so you have easy access to all of the cables and internal components. The scooter also still has the rare small square speedometer that is often missing and hard to find. This is a nice scooter. I never expected to sell it. This one is sorted, ready to ride, and has a clear California title and registration. I can assist with shipping. $2400 ![]() |
