Does your wife ride, or go out on the back of the scooters. Is there any mileage in getting her involved more? Obviously not the smallstate, you want her to enjoy it.

Probably not a deal, but this place is bizarre.

A real estate developer who appears to have bought every vespa he saw for sale for decades – some are amazing, some are bodges. Really strange.

And apparently, they're all for sale, with no prices listed.

Yeah, but none of us can afford one. I did a thread about them a while back. There are only about four or five of them in the US. ThatScooterThing did an episode on one that showed up at a rally Lee was at, too.

Cool collection. Thanks for sharing HJO. I've seen this inventory before online, not in person. Amazing collection. One of the Vespa Sprint's, the green JOHN DEER; is a custom job done late 90's. It was in Scoot Quarterly. I would also love a Viatka!! I want a Bajas for the same reason, something different; although as Chandlerman pointed out....Viatka would be reeeeally different an rare sighting in the USA.

Interesting thing about that.

I'm almost certain I've seen that Rally before.

If it's the same one. It popped up on Craigslist here in Marin, as part of an estate sale, and was gone the same day. Maybe 10-12 years ago.

Bello Moto bought it, and it sat there for years.

Then I guess their clientele is like this person, who has a collection of thousands of vehicles, and money is no object. Shipped from California to Florida.

In a way, it's sad. bc this bike will never get ridden again. It's just a collector commodity now.

That dude must have spent a fortune on a crate of Vespas from Bello Moto. They sell those things for $15-20k each.

Lets do a tractor (scoot) pull! I always thought that this theme scoot was carried out well. Tractors aren't my thing, but this scoot is a good interpretation. I have that issue floating around somewhere too

I'm surprised to see this 'themed' Vespa on the front cover of a Scooter magazine, as it's literally a solid green Vespa with John Deere stenciled on the side panel, a John Deere sticker or painted logo on the front, plus a couple of other yellow details. In the UK, a themed aka custom Vespa on the front of Scootering magazine would have much more going on with the paintwork, a trick/tuned motor and memorabilia associated with the theme.

Sometimes less is more. I find the themed bikes over there way too busy and chaotic like a scrap book page.

For themed bikes, that one nicely understated. Not so much a fan of the heavily airbrushed theme bikes.

To me, in addition to not getting the appeal of the heavily themed bikes in general, they violate my personal DIY aesthetic, which is why I subject myself to doing all my own frame stripping, prepping, paint, etc. along with everything else I do.

The John Deere bike is pretty tasteful as a theme bike.

I've never been a fan of theme bikes, though. I loved the mod style ones (definitely less is more there), and perfectly original ones.

It's interesting to see a theme bike in a collection. Generally they're all about building skill, or having some kind of celebrity attached to them.

Like the ones Piaggio did with famous artists I could see collectors wanting. I guess the Scoot cover is a pedigree, though.

Yeah, that headset is a trip. I wondered if it was a paint-matched LML headset or something. It's gotta be like having an extra glovebox just for electrical.

That's a nice bike!

It looks like it's probably from the PGO factory in Taiwan when they were still under license with Piaggio, so pre-1982. The date might be right.

The body is identical to a PX except the headlight, and it has the same instruments as the P200.
Same speedo and lights as early PX. Are those switches anything the Italian factory ever used?

Correct headlight.
It's badged p150. And all the parts (seat, taillight) are identical to the early p200e-p125x, but it's a 150?

Not PGO. Indonesian Dan Motors P150S. They came in many variations, 8 inch wheels, Rally / Sprint fork, no turn signals, unique to the model turn signals, side glovebox, different speedo with low oil light (no sight glass on frame), etc. There's also one more squarish headset model...

I love the headset, that's what I'm rocking on my blue P, took me almost two years to find the parts...
