Whole ad just sounds like a boatload of BS.
"Over 2k invested in this re-do" Yeah? Where exactly? The crappy $80 rattle can paint job? The new "pistons" (plural)? lol The "refreshened" rack? The seat recovered with a "factory upholstery kit"? Or the timing set with the ultra rare "OEM gauge"? Sorry, sellers like this just turn me off. It's maybe a $1200 scoot.

He did tires and a top end and some switches. But agreed. I see your point. At any rate, it's not a "oooh i gotta go get that now" kind of deal.

what shame brought forth upon the house of the mighty 125!
that thing reeks of bullshittery. but, I could see somebody being in 2K if they had a shop do a bunch of ticky-tacky work on it. still, agree with youse guys. 15 would be absolute top of the market in summer and it better have fresh tags!

You guys are brutal! That p125 doesn't look bad!
The rattle can paint is bad, but it's all there and running, looks like it has been maintained pretty well. The lights all work. If it were a 200, the price would be good. Not sure what the price difference would be with a 125. |

I'd go check it out (or ask Chris to) but I've got enough projects on my plate....
10" tire conversion? Engine # but not chassis # in the ad? Could be red flags, but not necessarily. https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/mpo/d/portland-1962-vespa-150/7604803556.html

It's so hard to tell with those.
Few warning signs: the 10" conversion, kind of weird aftermarket speedo, pearlescent paint. The engine number is a 125. No apparent registration. But the aftermarket parts could be like SIP ones. It has tubeless rims, that are kind of upgrade. It's very straight and complete for $900. Or looks that way.
Weirdo speedo.
But it might be something like this.

it might be a round tail Bajaj, judging off the steel K/S
I'd gamble at 5~7 on that if the tank wasn't rusted out and the body solid

I figure the vespa guys would like to see it even if they don't want to buy it. Old Honda stuff on facebook in Grass Valley CA. It looks like there is a lot of stuff and I just got the feeling they might be negotiable. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/906299587310151/?ref=browse_tab&referral_code=marketplace_top_picks&referral_story_type=top_picks

It's a REAL good thing i didn't see that ad! I'm currently in the middle of a 1600 road trip (NW Oregon to Hermosillo Mexico), and i drove through the LA area at about 7am this morning. I would have scooped that struzzo and figured out some nook and cranny to fit it inside the van i'm currently driving. Who knows what i would have in store for a scooter like that. Lucky for me that someone already snatched it up!
