but that TV has all of the really hard to get desirable accessories, if they are originals. only the glove box looks repop, but even that could be OG, but unlike the vespa much of the repop lambretta stuff is really good so hard to tell.

if it was OG you could sell off the accessories for almost the price of the bike.

1980 Lambreta Jet 200 stock 800 miles asking $8,500 Sunnyvale CA

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/7077202135694427/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A3cd3d93d-58c6-474f-bbf0-2db367b91f78

Edit to add: Clean VA title (Virginia ?) with only 870 original miles I don't think you would be able to register in California. I thought Cali had minimum mileage for registering used bikes and that isn't even close to qualifying.

It's a lot of money but I thought the group would be interested in seeing the listing. I am guessing grey market import and curious to what the value is, what it sells for.

1978 Puch Maxi TRI RAD.

You don't see these very often, it looks factory asking $2,500 so no bargain but another one I thought was just interesting to see. Murrieta CA.

Helping a friend find a new home for this

4T Bajaj - Free in San Francisco

The Good:
Ran when parked ~10 years ago.
Stored in a garage

The Bad:
was not put on non-op, working on finding out the back fees. may just be worth the parts as a result. Or maybe send to out of state to avoid the fees.
edit: back fees look to be $785.

Pictures and other details to come

So I volunteered to go pick this up. Thanks to oopsclunkthud who put me in touch with the owner. We texted back and forth and set up to pick it up next Friday the 16th.

I do not know any details other than it is a Bajaj Chetak 4T that used to run. I offered to bring the owners a small gift and asked whether they preferred wine or whiskey and was told they don't drink but the gift would be to get it running and ride it.

I live in Reno so no vehicle tax or back fees to the California DMV. It is a free bike to me I just have to get it running.

I will start another thread after this post to update but wanted to start with recommendations. I figured new gas and fuel lines and clean the carburetor to start with. I called Sac Cycle in Sacramento. I thought I would drop it off on the way home and have them try to get it running and or make a list of what it needs. I need to find a manual and a source for parts besides ebay.

Thanks to the forum for the free bike. I don't think they have a lot of value but I will try my best to get it running and ride it. I guess that's why it got to the forum, the owner wanted it to get ridden by an enthusiast.

That's definitely not a DOTD for Nashville. That guy has listed bikes before, I think, and I pinged him about one and he never even responded.

So looking around scootnet2.net (for chetak 4T parts) I saw this 1980 Jet 200 asking $5,500 in Orange CA, $3,000 less than the Sunnyvale Jet.

that's not a terrible price but probably needs to go down a few hundred. show up with $2200. It's not a guy with attention to detail, or the simple stuff like stand boots would be sorted out already.

I still a bit curious about this wide frame. For Mr. Gick, it would probably be relatively easy compared to my limited skills. It still would be cool project. Or a money pit.

written this way, it always makes me think about my grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather-Orville, Fredrick, and Conradt; respectively.

While $500 seems like a screaming deal. . . it is not. it's not if you plan to build this into a bike. it may be a deal if you are looking for those specific parts for a build. You are better off finding a complete and straight bike for 1.5-2K and building it then you are buying this one for $500.00. you would be assholes deep into sourcing and paying for parts; it would be outrageous.

I checked locally and I know the guy who sold that bike to the seller. It was non-running when he let it go for an even grand. Dude got it running, possibly a full rebuild, but that looks like about it. Total flip.

Like what Gick said, it wouldn't be worth it as a project....but if you lived in a dry climate and wanted to simply have the scooter outside as lawn art, then the price on that $500 rust bucket doesn't seem so bad.

This is good for parts or restoration. As is, this belonged to my father and hasn't run in over 30 years. I know the cables are shot, it's in gear so you can't kick it over.
