I think it was a 4stroke. Someone just posted on the Stella facebook group they picked it up today, and it has the vents on the right cowl.

Then you're not getting much except a disc fork and some body pieces

I had messaged about the Stella yesterday after it had been posted for less than a half hour, but it's already sold, sorry Chandler.

A bare bones 1960s model series 3 Lammy. Looks a bit rough and like it's been sleeping outside for a while. It's not mine, btw. Located in NH.

Potentially original paint (that is almost the same color as the lichen growing on it...) and the scoot could be complete but will require cosmetic and probably mechanical work -- and investment of $.

There will be some rust for sure, and the legshield smacked into something.

Wow. This is exactly the kind of thing that would make me break my no more scooters rule. Cheap, rough, different. Potentially full of intriguing welding and metal fabbing puzzles. A half day drive. I just can't. Maybe when all the other projects are done.

I was thinking something similar. Lucky for me, I don't have a "no more scooters" rule. I'm wanting to add a Lammy to the herd because the guys I ride with do lammy-only stuff.

If you don't mind some bodywork blemishes, the Vape ignition indicates someone put legit effort into getting this thing up to snuff.

It won't be a screamer, but would be a solid option for someone wanting to roll on 8"s

that's a great deal and would be an excellent "first bike" for somebody or a welcome addition to any herd.

the VNB motor is kinda meh if it's an early 3spd. I don't know if that's a deal breaker, but worth noting. but to CM's comment, showing a vape and saying rebuilt means that somebody has a clue and put some money and thought into what was going on.

The front lower looks a little wonky, but it may be the pic angle. Missing title may be a problem where you live. Either way, it looks like a project scoot from here. Which is fine if that's what you are looking for.

I mean... that's a deal for somebody but that there is AP bio vs. PE for 4th period.

could write a dissertation on how a $850 bike becomes a $2200 project in boxes for sale 18mo later

It's really not too bad on price for what it is, but you will be throwing down some change to get it to even 10x10 status. Assuming the motor runs like he says it does, it seems all right.

That's one for three days and two gallons of acetone.
That's totally a DOD if the description is true (runs, off DMV system, etc).

Still just a project. I see a laundry list of questionable things about it, in addition to it being a project bike best case.

I wouldn't be surprised if you stripped that paint off and found some tacky two-tone underneath.

More complicated.

Every time you want to do anything, begin with taking off half the bodywork. I learned pretty early to stop putting it back on until after the test ride.

Replacement parts are like 2-3x Vespa price as well. Part of the game.

Eeeek…! Not sustainable, unless you keep it for life…

I used to love the way it looks… the mudguard, the seat and the flow of lines… but not so much now… which is strange…

Can't remember the last time I grew out of liking a design.

For touring, they are really nice. They float along the road, but not in an unstable way. The longer wheelbase and extra weight make a difference in that respect.

But, yeah, the complexity that permeates them...
