I've never seen one of those before. I wonder how hard it is to find parts for something like that.

If real, this looks pretty sweet to my untrained eye:

WHAT A RARE FIND THIS IS A 1978 VESPA 50 SCOOTER I HAVENT STARTED IT SINCE LAST YEAR.
THE PARTS ALONE ARE WORTH THE PRICE. APPROX 5000 MILES. I WAS GOING TO RESTORE IT BUT HAVE NO TIME.

Even though it isn't that hard to do, I think that a lot of people aren't very computer literate. Some ads are placed by relatives and neighbors.

I went to buy a miter saw last week and the guy was ancient and crotchety and his son had put the wrong price on the ad. I don't think he knew a thing about computers.

The thing that bothers me is when there is no picture and no description either- the people who write like they are being charged by the word.

Well maybe CA is different.

Here in Maine it's normal for scooters to show up with no documents at all. As with any purchase, the buyer should have all his/her cards in check.

Cheers

Damn that ET3 is tempting! Too bad the DMV's in my area are a nightmare. I'm afraid of the hoops I would have to jump through to get this on the road legally. Sounds horrible...but might be great for parts for somebody that might need it.

Mickey tail SS with original run in sticker. Very nice. The price isn't outrageous but could probably be worked down a little with the seller.

1945 Cushman
So not really a deal....maybe it is. I don't know. Anyway, it's too big of a project for me but very interesting nonetheless. Cushmans are pretty big in my area and not too uncommon.

http://lincoln.craigslist.org/mcy/2240897580.html

Here is a real Jewel, Very Rare, 1945 Cushman Airborne Civilian Model 53 (tandem / two seater):
This scooter is 100% Complete plus some.... It's 99% restored and Everything... Everything has been considered, restored and or professionally painted. The items not painted yet, but have been gone through are, the axels and motor and transmission (two speed) The scooter is ready to be bolted back together. The motor runs great. Has a pair of original seats and covers. One new aftermarket cover that also comes with it. NOS tires with new tubes. There is a large box of seals, stickers, wiring, nuts, bolts, generator belts, bushings, seat springs, bracket, braces, front suspension springs, etc, etc (What wasn't original from the scooter, came from Dennis Carpenter).. Everything is ready to go.
Absolutly must see to get a true appreciation of this scooter.
If you're a Cushman collector, you know what this is and what it's worth. You also know what goes into restoring one as well. Here it is, already restored, professionally painted and ready to be put back together. If I continue to put it back together, I will be posting it nationally, on a Cushman Club site for 5K or more. Here an opportunity to keep it local and keep it affordable.

Not everything is pictured. I could send more pics but they won't do it justice. More than likely you'll buy it if you're looking for one and you come see this one........

Serious inquiries only. I listed my phone number only to keep spammers at bay....
