Any comments on this Allstate? I saw it has been listed for 7 days +. That says something to me.
I know nothing about Allstates and not sure of a real price. It's 5 miles from my work so I could look at it on the way home.

You should definitely check it out. Bill of sale only is still doable just more work. If it's really cool like he says I'd give him $2000 and be happy. Never know till you see it though.

From seller's description, that's exactly what I'd be looking for: original paint, no rust, first kick and runs well plus all the parts to make it near perfect. And I think the '64s has a four speed gearbox; what's not to like for a reasonable price if it all checks out?

I think that's a decent deal. if the rest of the body looks good and the gunk n' funk on the floor board cleans up without revealing and atrocities of tin worm, then you've got a great base to start with.

no title is kinda bobo, so there's hoops to jump thru. but not the end of the world.

buy, build, ride, enjoy and know that you will never, ever make anything when you sell it on.

He has already promised to pick it up next month but is in negotiations for a PX150 in Athens but isn't sure which shipping company to use and he doesn't want a CHP inspection.🤣🤣🤣🤣 It has lots of character though and just the right amount of tinkering after the local shop spends 3 months fixing it. Can't respond, watching some corn hole. P.S. My wife says I can't have a scooter.😭

Absolutely right, brother. Went big with Athens, Greece but totally confident that SaFiS would
have put the hammer down on that one!

Have things gotten bad enough that a tatty runner P125 for $1600 is DOTD status?

Johnny Mule was in the same position with his P. well done and sorted bike and all he got were nickel dick time wasters, tire kickers, flim-flammers, wafflers and time pirates.

if it ain't shiny, and pretty, or totally ratted out people seem turned off and it's a hard sell.

P200 motor for $1800 on scootnet, Whole P200 pinked and registered for $2200. Seems like a no brainer to me lol.

it makes zero sense, the problem is you're trying to make sense out of it.

your bike is worth all of $2200. don't go lower. tell any of those SOB's that send you messages "would you take 1800" before even seeing it to f$#K off.

What seems like a market distortion is actually the fact that people want P200 motors for non-P200 largeframes, but don't want to buy Malossi cases for some reason.

at 900 for just the cases, plus then needing to buy all the gearbox, etc, it will certainly be cheaper to get a used motor / bike with a motor.

what gets me is that it's not even clear to me that the 200 based builds are even better than the small bore cases.

$4000 for new Malossi cases and cylinder with EFL internals and a bad ass clutch. Don't forget the new carb and crankshaft. Ask me how I know.🤑

I'm perfectly happy with a built 125/150 to 190 for the city it's more than you need. But if long highway miles are the requirement a 200 base is probably better. The older I get the slower I go.

Highway to Ensenada I did it on a 177 but a P2 would be less stressful.

rallies and shenanigans- P200
corralling horses and cows - of course a P200. Yes i used to corral our livestock with a vespa.
