Tried to soak it up with a heavy sprinkling of magical barn find dust.

I always wonder about those brought back from the dead videos whether they take a scooter, throw it in creek along with some old tires and trash before the "transformation" begins.

No title, no key. Frame VSX1T #28434 = '79 P200. Engine VNL3M #117324 = 1980 P125x. I've seen it start with spray down the carb. Haven't ridden it as it needs some cables. Right hand polini pipe and vespatronic ignition hint at what may be lurking in the cylinder. More pics on request. I only took out and cleaned the tank and cleaned cobwebs and carb a bit. Nothing more.

$500 to MV peeps for this week only. Then it goes up to the general public for more. I'm in San Diego and LA delivery may be possible. PM me. Be patient as I have a busy day.

This guy said he'll sell me the motor and front fork for $300. Should I buy? (I only need a wheel)

1966 VMA1M. 125.

Are these wheels the same for LF ?

Smallframes take 3.0x10 wheels, so a little narrower than the largeframe.

$300 it's still a good deal for a complete motor, IMO, even one that's fundamentally a project.

Just to clarify, the rims are interchangeable. It's the tires that are narrower on smallies.

That sure is a project. But I'm guessing the parts alone make it worth it for the right buyer.

Slick little scoot. Unfortunately, every time I see the word "rare" in an ad, I can only assume the guy is going to be a total dick to deal with. Fair or not?

Totally agree with you. The "I'm reluctant to sell" is a turnoff as well. Either sell it or don't. I like the scoot but wouldn't pay that much personally.

Could be you. I read the ad copy without malice. As far as price. You're going start high. And it is pretty clean for 60 years old. How fresh do you look, lol

I can understand your assumption when a seller thinks they have to use the word "rare" to convince a future buyer of what a great deal they are getting. But it is a bit rare having OG paint. It is also a a bit rare for someone to have an extra 3gs rolling around in their pocket to spend on a scooter.
The one that gets me is when a seller remarks "I don't need to sell it"! I just think to myself that I also don't have to buy it.

there isn't much for pictures, but that p125 has some sort of expansion pipe on it, so there's likely more than meets the eye under the hood

Yes, for me "Rare" means it's going to be much more difficult and much more costly to find parts. I'll pass!

My SprintV was tractor seat and tractor light stock from the factory. Immediately replaced, but definitely a thing.

Curious to know..... this Allstate has a dampener on it, looks like an accessory bracket added to accommodate a shock? I've never seen this on an Allstate.

Aside from that front swing arm set up and the upside down fuel tap lever it's a nice bike, but $3500 is not a deal for those. And that's coming from someone who only has Allstates…

And if the fuel tap lever is upside down, what else was done wrong to it, especially considering the weirdly non-stock fork?
