Here's another Stella, but you have to haul the LX150 away with it.

Agreed. I'd be game if I didn't already have one of each. An LX can be fun to mod; just look at Johnny's ET thread. It isn't a classic yet, so no guilt in modding the crap out of one.

If I cared more I'd remove the polini upgear on my et4 and get more wheelie action. The upgrear with the slightly bigger tire is a bit much. But at least it can do all my hills with the 190 kit. Lx150 is mechanically the same.

I messaged the guy early on and have absolutely no business in getting those scoots. So or course I want them even though I swore I would never own another Stella again after all the electrical shenanigans of the last one a few years ago. But Back surgery probably another month out, so: 1) the deal is cheap, 2) they both would have electric start (my kickstart days are over), 3)The Stella has a title and 4)the deal is cheap. We'll see.

So I checked this out:
https://charlotte.craigslist.org/mcy/d/charlotte-vespa-and-stella-for-sale/7778219378.html If someone wants me to grab it for them, let me know. The Stella's engine is not locked up but has not been started in 6 years and the front brakes are locked up. The LX150 VIN came back as a total loss/salvage, but no title. |

The red Vespa is documented as a total loss, so it is basically a pile of parts. The Stella is in decent shape with some scrapes, decent cowls, with a wee bend in the upper right leg shield but it has sat for six years. It will need gone thru it completely from front to back. If I was not getting spinal fusion done a couple weeks I would get it myself. It would make a good winter project as a mechanical rebuild and just rock the frame the way it is.

I need someone else to buy these so I can quit thinking about it. |

that's a tease - where is it for sale, how much is it? it's a solid looking bike, easy project by the looks of it.

p200, $2500 titled, needs carb tune-up doesn't sound too scary at all. floor rust is worth a good look at what's up but doesn't seem structural based on location. ![]() |

something you don't want no part of.
go back thru the DoD or maybe the bodge pages and you'll find a discussion on it from the first or second (or third!!) time it was listed. story changes a little each time. |
