It may not be deal of the day or a great restoration but there is nothing here that says "bodge"

The center mat is not fixed right, but it's not carpet. the legshield trim is missing but that's better than the legshield/floorstrip all in one bodge thing. The only accessory I see is on the front fork trailing link and that is a genuine vigano item. Paint color may not be to most people's liking but it's not like people leave the OG paint on GLs anyhow.

So check the frame and engine numbers, use all the above to talk him down, and turn it into a deal.

I like your observation. Good call. Needs some extra poking around. Heinous paint job.

^^^ The add was a bit confusing, at least to me. So I messaged the guy. He said the Stellas are complete. The P200 has two P200 engines that go with it. Then there some small parts as well.

That is definitely a hell of a deal. And the P200 even has a front disc. If it weren't a thousand mile round trip, I'd probably jump on it myself.

Hubs look like 8" though...

1948 Cushman Road King that was built in Lincoln Nebraska. Many that worked in Lincoln were veterans returning from WWII. This model has the 2 speed with transmission, 7Hp Husky engine. It runs real good & gets around 75-80mpg. Paint is older faded factory Huntsman Red. The original sprung seat installed in '48 is still present. It even has a handy trunk for groceries, your lunch or a 6 pack of Coke or Blatz. This was the most expensive 2 wheeled model offered by Cushman in 1948.
