Mitsubishi Silver Rat of the skies, never seen one up close, but it sure looks as goofy as the name suggests.

showdown O' the day within the hour on BaT between two scoots with reserve!

Helix vs VBB!

guessing rnm for both... https://bringatrailer.com/minibikesandscooters/

edit: that was interesting both had a $5K reserve, surprised Helix sold for that much and vbb reserve was that low

Agreed. Had to be a hardcore Helix fan who wanted a well-kept, low-mileage one. Some parts for those are hard to get now and they kinda suck to do some jobs on.

Yeah, it's a Stella - but not bad for a clean looking, running scoot with less than 2500 miles: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1247380516892774

They did not make Stellas in 2015, but with no title, it's a parts bike. Easily worth $300 as long as it's not hot.

I'd probably be willing to pay $300 for just the fork, lower headset, and hydro disc brake assembly. Someone else can keep the rest of the scoot.

A couple years ago I had a chance to buy a Vespa Chaio for $1,000. It was a more basic model than that and not as good of condition but ran well and had the title.

I thought seriously about it but didn't buy it because I have no way to use it. I live in a town of about 800 and less than a mile across. There is literally nowhere to go here and to get to the nearest urban area I would have to ride at least 10 miles on either dirt roads or highways used heavily by big trucks and there is no shoulder. I don't see that happening.

I'll pass this around to people in Des Moines. really straight bike at what I consider where it should be price-wise. I already have a P2, and Im holding out for something older personally.

It's missing the early '69 front fender reflector and the turn signals are an add on, not present on the original.
