He sprayed the wheels without taping off the tires or removing them. Then he didn't clean off the over-spray. Sorry but that is just hack shit.

I have no idea what that thing is. I wouldn't pay that, but who knows. It just looked strange, so I thought I would share.

If I had the cash I'd be all over that Lammy. Clearly you don't know much about The scooter, who owns it, or Lambrettas in general.

Considering my buddy scored a Li190 for a third of the cost, I guess it means I don't know anything about Lambrettas. I also don't care who owns it. As long as it runs (or doesn't in many cases) and the price is right, I'm game. That price doesn't qualify it as a "Deal of the Day" for most.

p.s. there is a Jet225 for sale in NYC for $2500 that hasn't even sold yet, and its got all the fixings. Most of the Lambrettas that have sold on scoot.net have sold for under $2200.

yeah, that lammy isnt a 'deal' in my eyes, i know to some it is, but to me it aint. while the lambretta is a different beast than a vespa, with the vespa still having a heartbeat and all, lambrettas are held to a higher level among those who own them, all of them being artifacts in their own right. so to a worshiper, i can see them thinking its a good price. i havnt drank the kool aid yet though.

Wow, such a deal. I'm SO surprised it hasn't sold yet. My golly people must be so stupid to not take this.

I mean all the other deals, they went like in a day or two but this one must be such a fantastic deal that it takes a week or 2, or a month or 2.

Yeah, that's my definition of a deal, something that only sells after 2 months and 2 price reductions.

Absolutely. Any day of the week. More than any Stella or Bajaj.

There's not a lot of info on this Lambretta, but it's a good bet this one is worth more than the asking price.

Actually its really nice. Fresh rebuild 175 top end for reliability. The side panel embellishers are insane. Never seen these before. The guy has over 3k into it. But had to sell it because he has a new baby. Rides really nice has a 3 in 1 rack. I offered 3 he wouldn't take it.

Huh? What does this mean? If you are referring to the fact that "Vespas" are still being manufactured I have to disagree. Nothing about the new Vespas has anything to do with the classic ones other than Piaggio is a marketing genius and is calling these things "Vespas" to tie into some romanticized notion of the classic Vespa.

Piaggio could care less about classic Vespas, which is why all their boutiques shut them out in favor of marketing the new brand of Vespas for yuppies and people with disposable incomes. They didn't want anything to do with the old pieces of junk the company was formerly famous for.

The only reason you may be able to get a classic Vespa serviced in a boutique is because there may be a mechanic there who knows them - they certainly weren't trained by Piaggio to work on them.

I think Lambrettas are leaps and bounds above the styling of most Vespas and heck my screenname other places is "Airborne Vespa" I just haven't had the chance to obtain a Lambretta yet, but I will. I love old Vespas, don't get me wrong, but the styling of a slimstyle Lambretta is above par. They also ride ten times better than a classic Vespa - much more balanced and with more tuning and gearing options. They also don't have the stupid design of the clutch being attached to the crank which seriously limits the tuning capability of Vespas and why the fastest classic scooters are Lambrettas (and smallframe Vespas which also don't have the clutch attached to the crank, but I'm too big to fit on a smallframe).

Shhhh, stop that shit. What do you want, for these tools to start buying up the few Lambrettas there are? Yeah, that's not a good deal really. Don't buy it! Lambrettas suck for sure. And for $3,200. What a waste! Get yourself a new Stella for Christs sake!
