yeah, that lammy isnt a 'deal' in my eyes, i know to some it is, but to me it aint. while the lambretta is a different beast than a vespa, with the vespa still having a heartbeat and all, lambrettas are held to a higher level among those who own them, all of them being artifacts in their own right. so to a worshiper, i can see them thinking its a good price. i havnt drank the kool aid yet though.

Yeah, that's my definition of a deal, something that only sells after 2 months and 2 price reductions. |

vespretta wrote: with the vespa still having a heartbeat and all, Piaggio could care less about classic Vespas, which is why all their boutiques shut them out in favor of marketing the new brand of Vespas for yuppies and people with disposable incomes. They didn't want anything to do with the old pieces of junk the company was formerly famous for. The only reason you may be able to get a classic Vespa serviced in a boutique is because there may be a mechanic there who knows them - they certainly weren't trained by Piaggio to work on them. I think Lambrettas are leaps and bounds above the styling of most Vespas and heck my screenname other places is "Airborne Vespa" I just haven't had the chance to obtain a Lambretta yet, but I will. I love old Vespas, don't get me wrong, but the styling of a slimstyle Lambretta is above par. They also ride ten times better than a classic Vespa - much more balanced and with more tuning and gearing options. They also don't have the stupid design of the clutch being attached to the crank which seriously limits the tuning capability of Vespas and why the fastest classic scooters are Lambrettas (and smallframe Vespas which also don't have the clutch attached to the crank, but I'm too big to fit on a smallframe). |

Shhhh, stop that shit. What do you want, for these tools to start buying up the few Lambrettas there are? Yeah, that's not a good deal really. Don't buy it! Lambrettas suck for sure. And for $3,200. What a waste! Get yourself a new Stella for Christs sake!
