You'd be surprised at how comfortable those seats are, just like that.

Looks like a good deal - the front fender looks banged up a bit, and the autolube looks disconnected, but for that price....

Any more thoughts on the bike Tract Punk posted? I just found it yesterday while combing the 'Bay for parts (that's my story, and I'm sticking to it). Not really looking for another bike yet, but I figure if I could get it for at or near opening bid price, it's worth sticking in the basement to save as a winter project.

The fact that the junction box and cables are missing gives me the impression that the bike was apart, and they just threw it together to sell. But everything else seems to be there and original.

Oh, and Tract Punk: If you have designs on this, I'll back off. But then, I figure you wouldn't be posting it here if you did.

If either of you is interested in that disconnected cables scooter, it's located the next town over from me, so I could take a peek at it if you want. I'm a noob, so you could guide me on the phone to look for certain things. Just PM me.....

Wow, that's a real swell offer. Awesome of you, but I'm going to pass for two reasons:

1). I'm less than two hours from there myself. If I'm not interested enough to go look at it in person, I probably shouldn't enlist in the help of someone else.

2). And more importantly, Tract Punk's last post rang true for me, also. This really is the last thing I need. Although I well know when I really am looking for one, they never seem to be available. Oh well...

If they are leaving that thing on the sidewalk in front of their shop (like photos show), it's probably drawing it's share of potential customers inside. Might be worth as much in advertising, as in profit, so maybe they aren't so motivated to move it.

I like it.. even with the crash bars..(I'd put a single spot on there) if it's just the battery, score.. if it needs some motor tlc, still pretty good..

PGO is the company that makes Genuine Buddies and Blurs and the like. I believe they started off with a contract to manufacture Vespa clones on Taiwan. Stood for "piaggio Group O....." I don't remember the rest.

DCunited, did you connect on the link for the scoot? The seller believes they can take that thing to 110Km/h - that's about 65mph. Seriously?

Yea I did but I don't speak metric. Razz emoticon Just kidding. Maybe? That seems a bit optimistic to me though. More like 50-55mph or 80kph probably. Anyhow, I read the part that said the tires were dry rotted and neglected any information on the performance aspects of the scoot that the seller listed anyway. Chances are that's a optimistic sellers tactic being that the scoot can't safely be ridden and they don't know for sure.

The speedo on my car says 150mph. Have I ever done that? No.
