In my car? No, I drive a Subaru WRX. I much more enjoy roads with poor grip and lot's of turns. No need to do 150mph.

For a small frame, no, I've never ridden one and at 6'3", I'm not considerably excited about that prospect even if it did do 110kmh.

It is a 100cc 3 port motor & just might eke out ~100kph with the right gearing. My PK50 kitted 70cc, 19/19 & pipe will do your 80kph but it is all wound out.

Man I followed this until the end. I was never prepared to go that high. Made me feel a little better about paying less than that for my Rally, though. Is this what a bike like this sells for, or did the bidders get caught up in the moment?

I would have been keen on that Ebay one as well. Great looking bike. The Pacific ocean prevented me bidding on it.

Quite frankly, I would have been on it if I didn't already have a project in progress. I'm not knocking it. I'm really trying to understand the market. And that's the only reason I brought it up after the fact. I was thinking if I could get it for $1k, I'd stuff it in my shed for a rainy day, even though it's the last thing I need right now. And if I didn't have my Rally in pieces, I could see myself paying what it sold for. But since I often overspend, I'm a little skeptical of my intuition. I want to get a feel for what is a fair deal for when I am ready to buy again.

People can say what they want to (pro or con) about patina. But that thing is all there, and the decals and labels are really what got me. What are the chances that decals dated '66 and '70 would still be on something from '64. Thing is like a time capsule. I'm hoping whoever bought it is either from here, or finds MV, because I want to see what happens to this bike.

In Oregon, that is too much money for no title... but I hear California is easier to get a title for scooters.

No title required (for older vehicles) in CT, where I live. So that part wasn't a factor for me. I hate to admit it, but the big thing that held me back would be having to hide it from my wife, which is basically lying, as far as I'm concerned (physically hiding it would not be a.problem). She didn't expect my Rally was going to be a project when I brought it home, and didn't see my vision right away. She's more right than I like to admit...

I was in CT over the weekend and almost stopped in to see it but it's only worth $1k tops to me esp with no title. Hey if they get that price than good for them but with a restoration that would make the scoot very very exp. Funny how you can buy a scoot nearly restored for $2500-$3000, not much more than the price for that one.

True. And even more funny how I so well know that over the years, and still wind up falling for the "deals" and projects. Thinking of Einstein's definition of insanity, I have to wonder about myself...

Yeah, if it was right nearby I'd probably buy it and rock the awesome patina. But I've got no truck and can't operate a vehicle to get up there right now with my broken-ass shoulder if I could borrow one anyway.

Cool bike. Its a J series and is kittable. Its kinda like the smallfrme of lambrettas. Parts are available.

I don't know if we could call this a deal o' the day or not. It looks sweet, got a bit of road rash however. And surprise! It's in my hometown as well - who would have thought Cambridge would even have a Vespa culture? (Maybe it's just a wasp pimple on the face of my town's Honda Civic 'n' Chevy Pickup mentality hahaha!)
Nevertheless, it's a sweet 90, (odometer reading unknown, but the ad claims 2944 km ridden, driven, or walked). And for $2,200.00, what a bargoon! Why, at the current exchange rate, that only $50.00 USD!
