First off, I likely won't be getting this. Seller has lot's of interest & I usually step aside in that case. I might give 200 for it if nobody else wanted it and keep the gas tank, carb door & MAYBE the handlebars, all for my widebody project. Then offer first dibs to Nutmegg and sell off the rest in my favorite game: "Can I get Most of My 200 Back"

Ok, this'll take a minute.. And how many what? 2 wheelers?

I got 3 riders that I use interchangeably & share with friends. Two will usually be working well, sometimes all three

I got a good smallie & a project smallie, both waiting for work

I got THREE projects @ 95%, 85% & 31.86%

I got 2 potential Vespa projects

I got a dead Lammy w/ 2 dead motors

I got a 99% of cool '68 Yammy AT1 125cc pseudo cafe project. Someday!

I got a cool 10 speed mountain bike

Some of this is targeted at my kids & buddies that are on the edge of relieving me of some of the burden.

Then another pile in Greece with now FOUR runners(one of them, soon to be two in the village on the island) and what, three TWO that are in pieces & likely to stay that way. Yeah, one of those is now a 'project' & may roll again. Plus a big stupid big Yamaha big 660XRT for sale nobody there can afford to buy. ALL these were free or dirt cheap. Well except the Yamaha, big, of course.

phew, that hurt. But if you visit me where ever, you WILL have a ride. And yes, I do know I'm lucky & my Greek wife allows/enables this to occur. No way to do it for me without her family and the start I got there.

Voodoo, it's definitely museum time... clean up the garage a bit, put up some fancy schmancy velvet rope and gold plated metal posts, turn on the BBQ and get some souvlaki goin'.

Hey you guys, before you plunk your money down on that smallframe, ask some good questions about why they're calling it an offroad or track bike. My guess is that someone tried to register it with less than 7,500 miles and maybe it was from out of state....once the DMV has a VIN in their database as non-conforming, there is no way to register it for the next 7 or 8 years at least.

So satisfy yourself fully as to why it can't be registered.

it wouldn't be hard to register a 1974 bike, so it's either stolen, or the vin numbers have been removed.

might be to much work to put a lien on it? It's presumably something that was surrendered to them, but maybe the price range doesn't justify it...

It could also just have no paperwork, and possibly be able to be registered.

But selling a vehicle with a disclaimer that it's not legal to operate on a public road: super shady.

Most likely, somebody bought it from out of state with under 7,500 miles on it, took it to the DMV and told them that it was from out of state, and they logged it in their computers, and now it's under the ban. So....they took it to a pawn shop and pawned it.

That's my guess, but I could be 100 miles off. I was just trying to point out that they seem to *know* that registering it may be a problem, so buyer beware. Run the VIN first, and find out.

Wasn't being a jerk. The "?" Is there because I'm not sure on the color.

It's either blue with a set of yellow stripes or its the reverse. I kind of have a color issue. It is a P series.

I admit that whoever took the pictures did a lousy job in trying to show off their scoots for sale. The midday sun totally obliterates the detail because of the shadow...

I admit it...the guy who owns these scoots is making me just a tad jealous right now. A pity the seller probably knows more about Limp Bizkit than he does about Vespas or Lambrettas.... not like I'm any better. (At least I can spell 'know' properly!)

I actually think the price on the 2 TV 175 series three lammys is good if it is all original and Italian.

I have no idea on the Lambrettas...I just know what I like. I want my scoots to be like my women - not too fast, not too slow and cheap!

Yeah, I was kinda wondering if these were bodge jobs....

What was your first suspicion? The fact that: a) there were too many being sold all at once, b) they all looked far too clean, c) the price, d) the seller couldn't spell their way out of a Merriam-Webster's dictionary, or e) all of the above?

Lot of the Vespa's in that big sell look bodges to me.
- Lot's of little crashbars
- Yellow boots
- two tone jobs
- floormats
- etc.
Don't know about Lambretta's.

Mine was the fact that he seems to be guessing what year each is from. Granted, it's his GF's dad and all, but how hard is it to look up a VIN?

Either that, or the dood likes to collect things by year. Which is weird.

Y'know, I noticed his indecision on exactly what year the scoots were, but I didn't pay attention to the fact that the majority of them are all roughly in the same year period... Hmmmm! Buyer beware! Good point there Tract!
