Allstate 65 for $1300 near Myrtle beach, might be worth checking out?

Images aren't the greatest and no contact details (so tread with caution).

I never normally look at Craigslist, but I saw this last night & thought with interest "if only I lived in Vancouver, I could probably do something with that"

Why would you do something with that? It's a bodge at a pretty high price for a deathtrap. No deal at all, especially considering I only paid a bit more for an all original 1962 VBB last weekend with only 4,XXX miles on it. Pass

Spares in this part of the world are pretty damned expensive (as are complete scooters !) But a complete bike like that would be a great donor, for almost what I would pay to get a front hub here (I exagerrate slightly).
As an aside, you are quite fortunate that you have access to well priced complete scooters, but there is rarely anything under $4k worth buying within a 1,000km of here.

They are out there - the last one I used within the UK cost me 95 pounds ($160) and took about 4 days, the last one I used within Canada cost me $1,000 took 3 weeks & they trashed my headset. The distances are obviously not the same, but they are nowhere near proportional to the costs ! Rant rant ! Wha? emoticon

Yup I know there is a ton of them out there. Uship, Haulbikes.com, Forward Air, I was being a complete smart ass to your post of commenting on no bikes for sale below $XXXX so its worth it to buy a bodge. Not the case - plenty of bikes out there and some that may need to be shipped to get the right bike for the right price. Just find the right shipper so its not $1000.

I'm with you 100%, this is the kind of "deal" in my local market:
http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-motorcycles-scooters-pocket-bikes-9-Vespas-for-sale-from-1950s-to-1960s-W0QQAdIdZ479502668
Thats the price you pay for moving to somehwere less populous I guess !
As a result all of my scoots I have here have come from far far away and there is not a bodge amongst them !
I am going to have to start holidaying South of here & tap into some of the deals you guys are getting. I'm just jealous that's all !!

Damn it! I've missed way too many... time to wake up and smell the missed opportunities! (I do however still have to work out my "extra sxooter in the garage" in anticipation of wife stumbling into the garage when I'm not looking! Razz emoticon

That Rally... it's all there, but it seems so expensive. the body looks like it's been dented/hammered a lot.

Not a terrible deal, but needs lots of work. and cowls are virtually impossible to find, no?

$2000 for that Rally is a good buy. Its got some body dents, but its all there, original paint, turn signals, late ducati p200 motor and wiring, and BBQ rack.

I'd go higher than $2k on that Rally. They don't come up that often. It isn't pretty but it looks all there and not overly "customized".

Somebody do it.

Agreed, looks like the main problem is it was laid down on it's left side and the cowl took most of the hit. I read here that good repops are now available, but that one could be fixed by a pro. The legshield isn't really too bad, mine was worse, and a new set of Rally SS trim will help a lot. The paint WILL clean up beautifully.

As mentioned, it seems to be ALL there and it's STILL listed. I'll bet it doesn't have a lot of miles, from details in some of the pics. I would be ALL OVER this if closer and I was looking for a Rally.

If somebody here gets it, I will send you a selector box cover for it GRATIS!
