Oh and slightly off topic and not a deal o the day exactly, I've placed my scoot on local CL looking to trade for a running P200, I just can't help it, lol, I have to get one of these before they're impossible to find!

And btw, I do like the Kymco and it provides me the enjoyment of riding period but I'd be willing to let it go for the right P!

So anyone close to Alabama that could help with any leads I'd appreciate it! And I priced my bike a little high because I don't really want to sell but rather trade if possible, but if sold I'll turn right around and start hunting! I can't be without a ride, it would make me sad.

That is more than likely a 79 p200 with all the goodies that were offered at that time.

The windscreen is good indicator that the bike was probably easily riden and not scooterboyed with.

Its a 2000 dollar bike but I bet if you walked up with 1500 and were prepared to go to 1700 you could go home with a good solid bike that will maybe just need some maintenance and tlc.

Front badge is wrong, has the under-seat ignition switch of the US model but appears to have a turn signal delete and repaint.... not a huge red flag, just a heads up.

Yeah, I called the guy and he didn't seem to know too much about it actually, couldn't even tell me for sure if it was a 125 or 150, meh.

That's not a bad thing. Just means he hasn't taken the time to research and probably just wants to unload it.

Engine number will tell you

125 starts with vnl
150 is vlx
200 is vse

pretty sure on those. The numbers will be on the swing arm. Take a rag and a flashlight

The pictures posted are not of the actual scoot, but the same model? Hmm...since the condition of the scoot is everything, why couldn't the listing party be bothered to take a picture of the real scoter? Makes the listing worthless, imho.

There was a 1954 Jaguar Mk Vii on Craigslist for $2800 withing 40 miles of me. It wasn't a scam, someone wanted it gone... and beat me to it. It wasn't even rusted and had a one-owner title.... stuff of dreams. Oh well I found my Vespa here in Indiana, we have hen's teeth, Italian iron is rare.

Ha the advert is still up... these farmer guys never take stuff down when it sells, he said it was also on e-bay and went for $4900 to Germany. I told him I'll come over with cash if things fall apart.

Almost bought this one before buying my 78 this past weekend. Guy is really nice and seems pretty honest with any shortcomings of the bike. The bike does have a pretty dinged up right side cowl which I guess could be replaced pretty easily.

He also sent me a short video of it running and it sounds pretty good. I'd definitely call if interested. He has clean GA title as well.
