Vader I think that's Darren Lopez. If so, he's a good guy and member of LCUSA. I buy OG parts from with no reservations. That bike is the right first Lambretta - good price and you just fix it from there. You don't want a pretty one for the first time around.

ohh no no no no... i don't profess to even think that i'm some type of lambretta expert. i just noted things in that other ad because it was something that i have knowledge of.

as for this one... not bad if you were local and has some wrenches and skills-- or can has friends and beer and pizza.

figure it this way: 1200 + 500 to ship, then another 125ish on tags and title, then you're gonna drop another easy 500 into it: rebuild the fork, tires and tubes, maybe some rims if you're feeling saucy. then probably a cable job. oh, what? i don't like points lets tack on 300 for an EI...

i'd buy that bike all day long if it was within 200mi of me, but being where we are, there's more viable options at the same investment point.

really good deal for somebody local or if you can get the price down and hook up some shipping.

I agree with Mr. Greasy , and don't forget after riding on a 125 for a few months you'll probably want a kit , better crank , pipe etc.......

That Virginia bike isn't Darren's, I asked him. But he'd be happy to do mechanical work on it before you ship it your way if anyone's interested. His labor rates are good.

For the GS lovers in Australia
Not exactly a bargain, but they don't come up too often from what I have seen anyway. $3.5k

Though, looking again, IS this a GS? I thought there was a GS badge on them, not just a 150 badge? I'm sure someone will let us know!

Shit that did go fast. Called the fella and he said he found it in a rubbish heap 5 years ago. Can you chop n change motors like that and get them through rego? Anyhow wouldve surely been good for bits n pieces for 250 bucks.

Here's one...
I'm going to look at it tonight, it's REAL, still not sure if it is a GS.
if anyone from overseas is interested let me know, I can assist with exporting.
Current offers $8-10k, if it is a GS, if not, $7-8k.
Well out of my budget

Sprint Veloce
Depends on where the bids ends or the reserve, this Veloce may be a decent deal. Sitting at $300 right now with 5 days left.

I'm in the market for a house to store the 4 bikes I've got. It'd be a smart move though to put the spare p200 engine I have into this Sprint as opposed to a cutdown P frame.

Working on bikes while living in the city aint no joke.

I can understand that. I rented a house for two years with no garage or shed to work in. Sucked. Have a small two car garage now, but a least I can work on my scoot easily enough by backing out my truck. A propane heater helps out too. Where are located?

The bike pictured above is a VL1, perhaps 1955. Fun bike to work on, if you like working on fenderlight engines (not everyone does).

1957 Allstate. Looks complete....less the motor. Maybe a good deal if bids stay low.

i've been watching. it didnt sell, bids didn't meet reserve. i'm calling the guy tomorrow though for my brother and perhaps the fun of it.

i find it alluring, the more i look at it the more i see wrong with it. i'll spell out some details but anyone else feel free to point out what i'm not seeing, a few par-the-course missing bits aside:

chewed up legshield, rivetted rear badge, erroneous front badge for that model, missing oil tank (i've seen a bunch of pictures of veloce's without oil sight glass holes), rot in the channel where the centermat sits, the footbrake, farm-bodge wiring repair on loom and stator, throttle cable feeding from the wrong frame hole, home-depot bracket repairing engine-side cowl chassis bracket/rot where it was, dented legshield, holes in headset, holes/bolts in glovebox, wrong horn...
