I was looking at that ad too the other day - my guess is it will be close, actually. It looks like it could need quite a bit hidden under a straight frame. Bet you the cost would climb pretty high pretty quick?

We've have a GS 160 for sale near Atlanta in better looking shape and seemingly complete for $2500 that hasn't sold for a year. People post and talk about it but no one has bought it, I wouldn't pay that much.

Agreed. That's a little high. By the time you have it restored you could have 5-6 grand in it. Who knows what condition the engine is in. Some SS parts are next to impossible to find if they are missing.

It's clearly been well used - some dents, centerstand rubber hasn't been bothered to be replaced... I thought it just looked worn though (minus the wild light on the front). You'd know better than I, however!

How about a 1964 Lambretta LI 150 - $1000 firm. It needs a complete tear down and rebuild, along with some minor de-bodging and a few small parts. However, it's relatively complete with the original motor and coveted LI 150 gearbox, it has a clean CA title, reg is non-op. Comes with an engine stand and various other parts.
