Not sure if this is a deal or a bodge.
No papers as it came from Cambodia. Whoever buys it will have to hope they don't get pulled over by the police.

It's older than '67, round tail, trim. The seller probably does not what he has. Too much for me but he may get that in Miami.

If it was cheap enough, it would be worth a ride to see what is under the floor mat. But not at that firm price.

if this is the bike i think it is then it's not really a screaming deal. i mean, maybe for a DIY guy(or gal) with some experience and some spare parts it wouldn't be bad, but not exactly smokin' deal.

hard pass.

70's legshield badge, questionable pedigree, shitty house paint, mystery mat, crap seats, tires and what not, front suspension looks clapped out. goofy lambretta bits on it. and an electrical problem. this thing is stinkin' up the joint.

mayyyybe for 500, but you'd have to catch me in a good mood. otherwise 250 max.

exactly, and i know the feeling. i bought a $900 rally 180 once...

the only reason i mention this is because i have intimate knowledge of a 74 rally that the client was waffling on whether or not to sell off. it had been sitting since the mid 90's, needed major electrical work, and all of the soft parts replaced. so... figure on tires, tubes, brakes, a tank boil, tap, fuel sys rebuild, battery, cables, and then get into the motor with whatever else and all of a sudden a 1500 rally becomes a 3000~3500 rally... when you could have bought a running, tagged and titled bike for 2800!

True that! I drove up to Auburn (6 hours), got a room($100), met a guy to buy an OG 76 Rally 200 (disassembled) for $1800, then drove home ($150? Gas), transfer and reg $130, so far 2 Motorsport orders totaling north of $600. Some other bits sourced off ebay/craigslist($200?), misc cleaning agents, powder coating, rattle cans($100). Clauss order($200). The MM tail light I've been sitting on. So like $3400 and I haven't touched the engine yet. And rally's for sale start coming out of the woodwork cheap(ish). I was kinda pist, then my lady pointed out I wouldn't have really enjoyed a bike I just bought and rode without bringing it to life.

Yup, there's a lot more ownership feeling when you bring it back to life. My Lammy was a mess, took me over a year to get it correct enough to ride, then several more as I worked through the rest of the bike to fix issues and make it reliable. I know this smallie inside out already, compared to my P that was a buy and ride - I dig it but there's just more bonding when you bring it alive.

you know... i'd jam on this.
rare, but not exactly desirable. complete, but not a cream puff. if you wanted to resto it, all the hard to find shit is there.

personally i'd scoop it, rock it as is-- obviously sort out whatever mechanical things it needs-- ride it for the summer and then resto it the following winter.

or just keep it in the stable as a roller...

Here's another one in this category, might even be a better deal depending on what's included in the 3 boxes of parts that go with it: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/mcy/4405846007.html

It's even got a title, probably a good thing I'm not back in Seattle right now...

67GT125 - I hope you are joking. I have one of those and I surely don't think it's worth $150
Gulf - The front fender appears to be correct, but there are too many other things on the scoot that are not. It is certainly not rare and I would not buy it just because this fool thinks he can convince me that it is.

I need one and have been trying to find it for some time. $150 seems like a lot but, since I haven't seen an NOS one ANYWHERE. $150 is looking enticing. If you've got one for sale with a decimal place moved to the left, I would be interested.
