Terrible idea and all, but: ScooterLounge's value/pricing information is pretty off, so considering the context of the thread: why don't we as a community make up a general price list in the same fashion, just more specific to various models/years/conditions?

Set up a distinction between a p125, p150, p200, and p200+ and the same throughout older and newer models, set a standard for sellers to be able to reference if needed.

I think that will go pretty quick in Atlanta. I sold my last P200 about two years ago for $1200 to a fellow scooterist. For that he got a straight body, all new cables, seals, gaskets, etc..... It needed a paint job (crappy silver stock paint) and I needed to pay off medical bills, as I was behind on them. I still would like another one to compliment the Super I now own. Bucks down at the moment (another back surgery), maybe next year.

The problem is location. For example here in Denver that 1600 dollar P200 would be a fucking steal. The only P200 I know of here is in about the same shape and they want (and will get) $3500 for it.

Thats what I was thinking when I read the SL values. I hear more complaining in the Lambretta community to be honest, the 'this guy wants 6k for an LI125? Must be watching 'Merican Pickers" outrage, but to a degree it does make sense.

I'm from the northeast and while I'm not an expert on the imports of scooters for decades before I was born, it would make sense that the north east/east coast would have more than the west and middle america by sheer population as it would relate to demand. Allstate's anyone could buy from Sears and all that.

I just think it's an avenue that'd warrant an honest conversation.

Maybe not the steal of the day, but looks like a nice classic bike for a fair price

Don't buy it! I need a project for when I arrive in Denver in a month! Seriously though, it looks like a good project but more like a $500 project in these woods. Dude in DC just sold a running P for $500 yesterday (possibly less, he offered it to me for less but it was listed at $500)....I'm cheap as shit though.

not running? less 50% $1000
in pieces? half it again! $500
no title? what a POS! $250 max!

all kidding aside, figure on a 25% reduction in asking price if there isn't a title. no matter the bike.

obviously, the not running/in pieces argument can be swayed depending on the rarity/desirebility of specific models.

that particular bike, i'd be okay with dropping 3~5 hundo on, but 9? with out a title? crack pipe.

RD350's are awesome bikes... real screamers, if it's a nice one go for it. But be careful man!

I dunno about you but I'm road tripping to Denver in a month whether you are there or not. BTW, I had to thin out my herd. I'm down to 1 running bike and some engine cases I plan on building up when I get to CO....it feels weird.

mac....that RD is fair price if it runs. those drop bars are just turned reg bars upside down. Get correct clubmans (yuck.....i don't dig clubmans, but whatev), or get super bars (i think look best). light and guages are gonna cost a little, but not too much, and I hope titling the thing isnt too much either!

BTW what the heck constitutes a "tune up" on a 2-stroke Vespa?

translation: been sitting forever and a day. needs a full fuel system rebuild, cables, tires/tubes and probably rims. add some seals and gaskets, too. oh, and that one really expensive part i was too cheap to buy. yeah, you're gonna need that too.

That vba is at a very fair price . Very straight and original . Parts aren't expensive and with a good pipe and some messing with jets and what not it will keep up with modern traffic . If I didn't have a round tail I would jump on it .

Thanks greasy, that's kind of what I thought whenever I'd seen that in an ad; a convenient way to minimize potentially serious defects.
