I heard a story about the Vespa 400. It may be apocryphal. Vespa was buying the motors from Fiat. Fiat said: "We'll sell you the motors but if you keep making cars we'll start making scooters.". Thus ended the Vespa 400.

That milk crate where the motor is supposed to be makes it much less of a deal of the day than I originally thought it might be.

That looks exactly like one that's been for sale in Cincinnati for the past few years. I guess they made more than one tomato red P200 without a motor but with a blue milk crate? He has the motor in a box and wants considerably more.

NO idea if this would be a deal or not as no price is listed but I know people love these PK's and honestly if I wasn't in the middle of a resto and a sub-arctic deep freeze at the moment I'd probably be contacting this guy to get this one. I think these PK's just look the shit but that's me.
