I can't beieve it. I usually check those classified daily. I would have flown to MD for this one, I do not care what condition it was in. I WANT ONE!!!

The add for the GS had no pictures, so I emailed for some (15 minutes later) the owner emailed me back to tell me it had been sold 5 minutes before. Now that I see the picture here, it does make you want to cry. Hope someone on here got it.

Here is the irony. This sold for $600.00 and someone just recently bought a black restored one on eBay for $10,000.
If I were the guy who bought the black one, I'd be crying after seeing this.
Surely this original one is far more valuable, no?

Yeah, and I don't think that it was a GS MK1 that went for 10 large. It was a nice clean scoot though.

I don't believe so. A fair offer was made from America vs the 1st caller from Vietnam. It wasn't a hard decision for the buyer.

The buyer still got a really good deal imho.

@phrank: Wow, I do believe you found the twin for a similar bike I took as partial payment for a bike I sold to a guy in Portland. Mine wasn't complete & motor was frozen, but the body was 100% solid with only surface rust - the paint under the cowls & center mat and on most of the bottom of the floorboard was nearly like new. I put another motor in it and still like the looks of it.



If I'd had to buy it, $400 would be a bargain. I could easily see even $800 if this one IS complete and really has no rust rot and it had a title.

I don't post over here much even though I am vintagecurious but I stumbled on this today. It is close to where I live and I would go take a look at it, with detailed instructions on what to look for, if anyone is interested. I don't know the dude or anything other than what is in his ad.

honestly, i like those turbanurbano handlebar muffs things, they're in my ebay watch list since i went to london last year. not a bad price at all. i'm legit tempted to pick that deal up and just flip the et4 in the springer.

This gauge is sooooooo cool. I added it to my "Watch List" on eBay and planned on buying it if it did not get purchased or was available for around $20 to maybe $30.

The bidding is not over yet and it is up over $150.

Its actually a great restorable bike, being that its complete with all the rare bits present. Sucks the spare tire cover has a hole though.

The think to remember is its 800 + selling price. I put in a bit for 1000 for it, but that's already been beaten.

My prediction is 3600 final which is way over priced... but after that black GS160 from the South Bay went for over 10000, nothing will surprise me.
