I just notice that my GTS 250ie has a loose airbox dangling around. I can ride it just fine but I noticed that there should be screws that screw the airbox (air filter) to the physical frame of the scoot. I'm not talking about the six black screws that opens access to the air filter. It's the acutal screws that screws the black filter box onto the frame. Here's a picture of the screws I'm looking for.

That nut is a bastard to get in place (or are my fingers just too fat?).

Anyway, I took a strip of steel and drilled and tapped a hole on it to take the bolt. Now I just hold the end of the strip while I screw the bolt into it. Piece of cake!

So it sounds like the last person to work on your scooter didn't bother to
reinstall them? Go back and demand they replace them, they just don't
fall out. Clown emoticon

Had the same deal a few months ago... my dealer hesitated but eventually gave me a set of the screws ('pretty sure they didn't put them back in, 'caused me some difficulty). I was surprised at how hard it was to try and get 3 screws, even if I was willing to pay for them.

Those screws usually just fall off easily from vibration. I would not buy them at a hardware store.

When I went to Abilene Kansas to meet the cannonballers, they just fell off and my airbox was just hanging by a hose obviously losing quite a bit of gas.

Jess was nice to provide me with some super screws. Matt was a little bit envious of my screws. He kept talking about them ad infinitum.🤓
