I have a GTS300 and can't find the power output info. Last year I had the Gerbing G3 gloves and they were amazing and this year I want to add the heated jacket liner but want to make sure the electrical system can deal with it. Here is what I have, gloves 27 watts 2.2 amps, liner 77watts 6.4 amps, Total 104 watts 8.6 amps.

1st anyone know how many extra amps the Et's system is capable of?)

4th powerplug in for heated gear for her...I'd like to get us heated jackets and her heated gloves (i don't need heated gloves since i'm getting heated grips) is the powerlet the best option?
All leader engines 125-150-200cc 200 watts 16 amp @ 4000 RPM

you have some extra to run heated gear.....like a jacket liner and a pair of heated gloves or maybe 2 heated vests.........use heat controllers....thermostats.

The GTS (at speed) will produce 24 amps when cold (approx. 307 watts) and 21 amps when warm (approx. 269 watts).

We run 2 Gerbing Heated jacket liners and 2 sets of gloves with the dual control thermostats for each, so the gloves and jackets can be contolled separately. We also never turn anything on until we're moving. Switches are OK but are always giving you FULL power and always need to be turned off when stopped, even at a stop lights.

The alternator can handle the heated gear. We're careful when we turn our stuff on and always adjust it lower when warmed up. Turning the thermostats down uses less power form the scooter electrical system.

With 26k on my GTS now I'm still on the original battery.

Hope that helps,

There we go! That's what I was looking for. Thanks. If the ~8 amps (96 watts) leftover for accesories is correct then there is not a lot of margin for lights and heated gear. My Gerbing jacket liner draws 55 watts. Maybe some extra for gloves but that's about it.

It would be a good idea purchase a battery tender jr., and to put a connector on your bike for easy connection.

You can run 9 amps, but odds are your alternator will not keep your battery fully charged on its own.

Depending on your parking situation, you should figure a way to plug in regularly--even once a week will be beneficial.

Also so keep in mine, what work at HWY speeds will probably drain the battery at city stop and go speed. Put some kind of voltmeter on there too, it help with the surprises...

Your battery could probably support it if you are riding it hard and for long enough periods of time from what I have been told by the local dealership. However, as others have said, it wouldn't hurt to put it on a battery tender between rides just in case.
